Virgil made his way out to the imagination (all I could think of was imagi Nation, Fire Nation, I'm sorry I just binged all of Avatar in the past week) to draw some wild life, he was sure there was going to be something special about those animals this time. Thomas had been watching the Descendants (idk how to spell) movies and all Roman could do was think about the lore and beautiful castles and magical things that could happen there.
Virgil made his way to the woods, found a nice spot with a wonderful view of a lake and sat down next to a tree and began sketching the view, not knowing that Roman had brought Patton out to explore nearby.
Virgil began humming and singing a song that reminded him of his old home
Virgil began making a tune by scatting (is that right) while drawing the beautiful view

The animals slowly began to drift closer to Virgil startling him slightly, but he simply smiled and began scatting again, not knowing that Patton and Roman were following one of the fawn that had been drawn in by his voice
Oh and I have moved and I've kept on moving Proved the points that I needed proving Lost the friends that I needed losing, found others on the way Oh and I have tried and kept on trying Stolen dreams, yes there's no denying I have travelled hard with conscience flying somewhere with the wind

Virgil pet a few of the fawn that had come closer to him, not seeing Patton and Roman at the edge of the clearing
Now I'm sitting here before the fire, the empty room, the forest choir The flames that couldn't get any higher Well they've withered, now they've gone But I'm steady thinking My way is clear and I know what I will do tomorrow When the hands have shaken and the kisses flow, well I will disappear

Virgil finished his song with a bit of scat and laughed when the deer licked him slightly
"Why thank you for the audience little ones, would you mind if I sketched you?" Virgil said to the animals surrounding him, and surprisingly they seemed to understand and began to pose which made Virgil laugh.
"I knew it would be speacial" he told one of the bunnies at his feet.
"Hey Virgey. Where did you learn that song?" Patton said stepping into Virgils line if sight. Virgil jumped slightly.
"Ooh, um it was just from where I was born, it was a long time ago, in Caledonia, which is in Scotland, so it's just a song about where I grew up." Virgil told him shifting slightly.
"Ooh, you've never told us about your past, do you want to?" Patton asked innocently.
"Ooh um, I guess, well, I was the uh, the prince of Caledonia." Virgil said sounding uncomfortable.
"Wait. Your an actual prince?!" Roman yelled suddenly intrested in what Virgil had to say.
"Well. Yeah, but it was a long time ago, so it doesn't really matter, and it's not exactly a good history so..." Virgil said turning his focus to a little blue bird that came and sat on his shoulder.
"What do you mean.?" Patton asked concerned as to why it wasnt a good history.
" Well, my kingdom got attacked when I was 12." Virgil started curling in on himself slightly.
"Wait didnt Janus say that you joined thomas when you were 12?" Roman asked, his eyes widening after realizing what that meant.
"Uh, yeah..." Virgil responded.
"So," Patton sniffed " you died at 12" patton asked moving to hug the darker trait.
" Yeah, they attacked the castle and... killed me before I could escape with my younger sister and parents." Virgil stated, staring off into the distance as if reliving the experience. " but, I'm pretty sure my family got out alive, so that's good." Virgil said trying to lighten the mood.
"You know," Roman mumbled " I think you were the youngest to join us." Roman finished.
" pat died at 42, Logan died at 37, Janus died at 33, and remus and I died at 23." Roman said moving to sit closer to the youngest side.
" Do you want to tell us how it happened?" Patton asked.
" It was Assassin's. I didnt even hear them coming. I guess that's why I'm anxiety. Cause as I was dying I realized that I could have avoided it, if I had just been more aware." Virgil speculated.
"Aww my poor dark strange son" Patton yelled tackling Virgil into a hug.
"I'm alright Padre, besides it was a long time ago." Virgil said smiling slightly.
He was happy. He had a family that loved him, even if they weren't his original family. He loved them like they were. And he wouldnt give up his family for the world.
