You missed Widow's Watch. Your home. So much so that you feel physically sick in your stomach as you gaze out the windows of Winterfell. You'd moved to the North to live with Robb and his family. Joined in a union of marriage with him since you came of age. It wasn't something you completely resented. In fact, you had fell for Robb and he in turn was head over heels for you. Never had anyone seen him so happy when you were by his side. Especially during festivities where you would ask him to dance the night away with you. But there were still moments when you wished to talk to your mother. To feel her maternal love. To taste the cooks special pastries that no one else could get right. To run along the jagged rocks by the coast.

Catelyn tried her best to bring a sense of home into your life. Offering to give you advice only a mother would know. Ordering the cook to try and recreate that pastry you often talked about. She'd even sent a raven to your mother, requesting advice on what fragrances she could have maids could use when they clean your clothes. It was a wonderful feeling, knowing that she was trying her best to make you feel better, but the closer you came to your name day the more solemn you became.

When you awoke on the day of celebration, you noticed Robb was not in bed. His side of the bed was cold to the touch and the lonely feeling inside swelled. It wasn't uncommon for him to be gone over the month. Instead of wallowing in self pity, you put on a brave face and called for your handmaiden.

As soon as she came, your handmaiden rushed you over to a dress she had laid out for you. Hurrying it on with an excitement you couldn't quite understand. As she was lacing it up from behind, you ran your hand down the sleeve. It was a beautiful dress indeed. Dark blue with fine silver embroidery, reminding you of the colours that were so often worn at your birth place. You slipped your eyes to the mirror in front of you and thought out loud, "this...looks familiar but I don't believe I've ever worn it before."

"It's a beautiful dress, M'lady."

"Indeed it is." You narrowed your eyes on the reflection. "It's a strange fit. Doesn't feel like it's tailored to me."

She held a knowing smirk. "Must be because it's new."

"Must be."

Once she was done, you bid her farewell and made your way to the courtyard to find your husband. But as soon as you stepped outside, you stopped all movement. Everyone who darted around Winterfell were all wearing House Flint's colours and some even sported small broaches in the shape of eyes. They all acted as if nothing was different, that this was the norm, but each person who passed by offered you a warm smile and an even warmer greeting. You choked out replies. Still taken aback.

The sound of laughter drew your attention to familiar faces. The Stark children, including Theon and Jon, were all dressed in the finest colour of blue and bore wide smiles when they saw you approach. Robb was at the centre of the group and loosed a deep rumbling laugh when he saw how dazed you were. You slowly drawled out, glancing between them all, "what...what's going on?"

"It's your name day isn't it." Arya jumped in before anyone could talk and she proudly wore a broach, that looked of finer make than the others, of the eyes that could be found on the banner of House Flint.

You placed you hand on her head and stroked her hair, "it is...and it seems like you're all dressed for the occasion."

"It was Robb's idea." Theon chimed in and cast a teasing smirk at him. "He was slaving away day and night to organise today. Got him wrapped around your little finger you have."

That explained his absence for a while. You looked to him, sighting the embarrassed flush in his cheeks. "There's more?"

They all dispersed once Robb gave them a pointed look. "Aye, there is." he looked you up and down. Smile spreading wider and wider until it turned into a blinding grin. "It's as I thought. Your mothers dress look wonderful on you."

You froze once more. Eyes wide and mouth agape. It took all your strength not to burst out in tears right there and then. But instead you pressed your quivering lips tightly together and brought the sleeves to your nose. Smelling the muffled scent of your mother. Of home. "You are a wonderful man, Robb Stark, and an even better husband."

You buried yourself into him. His arms wrapped around you tightly as he chuckled, "well there's more for you to see."

Robb took you from place to place all around a transformed Winterfell. He showed you to the main hall where flowers, that would decorate the halls of your home, were proudly placed centre of the many tables. House Flint's banner hung from the walls. And many servants seemed like they were prepping for the big feast his mother planned for the night. He brought you to the stables and you gasped at the sight of your favourite horse that you had to leave behind. You ran your hand over the mares silky neck and once again had to hold back your tears as you whispered, "Oh I've missed you, girl."

A stable boy saddled her up as well as Robb's own. Soon you were both riding out of Winterfell's gates and through the forested area. It had taken a while till you reached a secluded area with a bubbling stream running through it. Robb dismounted and came over to help you down. He sat down by the stream, silently pushing your head to lean against his shoulder.

"I thought we ought to have some alone time before the big feast." The sound of his voice sent a calmness through you. It was addicting. "Though there is one more thing I need to show you."

You lifted your head and saw him draw out what appeared to be a letter. The sight of it pushed a confused hum out of you as you gently took it from his hand and unfolded it. Reading the contents immediately brought you to tears and this time you let them fall freely.

My dearest daughter,

By the time you read this it will be your name day and I am sure you have grown into a fine young woman. The last time I saw you, you held onto me tightly and begged to stay. I was half tempted to call off the wedding so I could keep you close. But now I am certain that your father and I made the right choice in allowing you to marry Robb Stark.                                                                  The boy has been writing to me every month without fail and tells me all about you. I am very proud of who you have become my sweet. You have brightened the halls of Winterfell as you once did in Widows Watch.

I love you with all my heart and soul.

Your loving mother.

You slowly lowered  the letter, sniffling as Robb gently wiped away your tears. "I don't know what I've done in this life to deserve you."

"You deserve the world." He whispered and brought you into a gentle kiss. "And I'll happily give you it."

Whilst you remained in your husbands arms. Sharing warmth between one another. You realised that you had fallen in love with him all over again and you were more than happy to spend the rest of your life with this wonderful man.
