okay, wow.

that was definitely a roller-coaster, but this one's a step worse.

scared of the dark is a story i wrote in 2015. i was 13 years old and had just finished binge-reading both the hunger games and divergent trilogies, and was so inspired that i decided to... uh... literally rip off the whole dystopian idea? i guess? logic. 

this story was written a long time after the element's desire, and i think my writing had improved a bit at this point, but my story idea was so overused and unoriginal that i just cringe into oblivion reading this. (don't get me wrong, the writing's still horrible, but not as bad.)

i'm actually still writing the story titled scared of the dark, but it's changed so much that i wouldn't say it's anywhere near the original story. my current wip with this title is drastically different, but i figured i'd dig into my old roots and cringe about this.

this one's a bit longer than the last one - i wrote 10 chapters and 22k words here - so hang onto something and buckle up. this is literally insane.
