"You understand why you have to do it?" the wizened man asked.

The girl nodded.

"And you know it will not be easy?"

The girl nodded again, stifling an eye roll. That was probably the understatement of the quincentury.

"Tell me," he said simply.

"If she is not stopped, she will bring destruction to all of Eurus. She will tear her apart. She will be her undoing."

The man nodded, slowly, turning to face the girl.

"How do you know it's her?" she said, quickly.

"The Prochecies were clear. And I may be blind but I can still See, girl."

"Spit it out," he said, back to standing at the balcony.

"None of this is her fault." She sighed. She knew what he would say.

A destiny rarely ever is.

"A destiny rarely ever is."

"But it will be our fault if it comes to pass."

Do you understand, girl?

"Do you understand, girl?"

She nodded. She did understand and she would not hesitate.

But that does not mean it would not hurt.
