(The next promised chapter of Fated- been awhile since I've updated this. It's not that I've forgotten about this story, it's just that this is a side story. Something smaller for me to play with when I cant do updates for my larger stories. Anyway, enjoy!~)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

"Mettaton?"

Papyrus nodded beside me on the green couch that we were sitting on. Sans wasn't home right now, which meant that I was allowed to pretty much do anything that I wanted- as long as it was within the boundaries of the house. That was fine by me because... being here in Snowdin meant that  I was further from the barrier. From my own form of hell. "HE IS AMAZING!"

"Oh... I see? Well, what does he do?" I asked with a small smile. Papyrus basically had the most excited expression on his face right now, I couldn't believe how something like this could get him so worked up. Thankfully, I was getting used to his loud voice... though I still froze at certain high pitches that he used.

"HE IS FAMOUS IN THE UNDERGROUD! VERY POPULAR, EVERYONE LOVES HIM... HE IS ALWAYS ON THE TV, ENTERTAINING MONSTERS WITH HIS CHARMS!" Papyrus proclaimed, practically bouncing in his seat. Sans mentioned something about disliking him, and I couldn't bring myself to have any kind of admiration because of that. "A TRUE STAR."

"You must really look up to him." I added in quietly, causing him nod. Admittedly, I couldn't help but feel somewhat happy at his excitement... but at the same time, it was a bit much. A few days have passed since that 'training session' with Undyne. Sans kept his eye sockets on me for awhile, making sure that I wasn't hurt or anything.

It took Papyrus telling him to ease up on me before he finally decided to give me some space. He left for his part time jobs a few times, which gave me the opportunity to spend time with Paps. Though... I think that was his intention. Sans probably wanted me to be more familiar with his brother, to ease my anxiety whenever he needed to leave for a bit. He didn't like to bring me along with him, claiming that I wasn't in good health... and then, he'd stare at me in the strangest way. As if he were taking in every curve that my body had to offer.

Just the other day, Papyrus said something that was a little... strange. It made me feel nervous, but I tried to brush away that feeling since Sans would probably react to the emotion. Papy mentioned how Sans was apparently blankly walking around the house, the light in his eyes were completely gone... as if he were sleep walking.

I didn't pay too much attention to it, until the subject came up again yesterday. Papyrus wasn't too sure, but he felt as though Sans lost his conscious to his Soul. That might of sounded weird, but the taller brother was actually very frightened by it. He stated that the Soul's emotions are much too simplistic to be reasoned with... to the point of it making irrational decisions.

Soon after Papyrus explained that to me, he asked something that made me freeze up. He asked me... if something happened to make his brother overprotective. Apparently, many skeletons were so deeply connected through the bonds of their Soul that they could sense the slightest abnormality in others. Such a thing was twice as powerful and delicate for a Soulmate. Subconciously, his Soul might of known something about my pain... and it was reacting while Sans slept.

And that... was a bit unnerving.

Paps told me that if something didn't change soon with my Soul believing that it was in danger... that Sans might have a very hard time with waking up from his state of mind. The Soul had a lot of control over the Monster's body, almost like some kind of self possession? I really wasn't too sure on how to explain it...
