Natalia's P.O.V
I hauled my ass up to the third floor. Okay, not really. I mean I took the lift.
But anyway, as I stepped out of the marble lift and onto the third floor, a huge door immediately came into sight with a corridor before me.
The walls were adorned with vintage paintings which looked so expensive like everything else in here.
I know I'm rich and all but my parents has always made sure that we aren't surrounded by materialistic objects because they didn't want us to think that that was all in the world.
So can't really blame me for being so amazed by these stuff.
I gently pushed opened the door and it revealed a giant bed with giant windows facing it.
Everything was adorned in either white or gray.
It was absolutely beautiful.
I placed my bag on the chair and sat on the bed.
Wow it even smells like Aiden. Like are you kidding me right now?!
I'm so creepy my goodness.
"How do you like it princess?" A deep voice resonated through the room.
"Aiden?" I turned around and saw him standing at the door, dressed in that gorgeous black leather with a cheeky smile.
"Oh my god! You're okay!" I ran towards him and gave him a huge hug.
As I crashed into him, he steadily held onto me and returned the hug.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He chuckled and kissed my head.
"Uh because you gave a gun to Xander and ran off you ass." I rolled my eyes and eased into his arms even more.
There's absolutely no way for me to describe how safe and secure I feel when he hugs me because the amount of comfort he gives me is another kind of level.
"I'm sorry Nat..." He sighed and hugged me tighter.
"I didn't mean for you to be worried about me. You don't have to worry one bit alright?"
I nodded and kissed his chest.
What else could I say?
He's been living this life ever since he was young and he's been okay up till now.
Okay, I know, bad reasoning.
I'm just trying to find a way to justify why I don't have to worry about him.
Which is actually the most worrying part.
Because this has to become normal for me too in order to be with him.
I honestly don't think I can handle it.
"Nat!" I let go of Aiden as I hear small footsteps resonating through the corridor.
"Look what uncle Xander got me!" I look at Nicholas as he holds up his ice-cream proudly.
I giggled and wiped some of it off his cheek.
"Only one okay?" Nicholas nodded excitedly and shoved more into his mouth.
"Babe?" Aiden looked at me curiously as he walked back towards me and set his hands on my waist.
"Can Nickle sleep with us tonight?" I mumbled as I placed my hand on his chest.
"Natalia, he will be safe here. Don't worry alright?"
"I know Addie but just for tonight... I haven't gotten over how close it was for him to be kidnapped." I sighed and rested my forehead on his shoulder.
"I get it... Let him sleep with us tonight then."
"Thank you." I whispered.
"You're welcome and also I liked it when you called me 'babe' just now." He whispered into my ear and kissed my neck.
He then walked away like nothing happened.
This boy will be the death of me.
...
Okay so yeah I did find Ashley like an hour later and turns out she was raiding the damn kitchen for snacks.
Why is she the embodiment of me?
"Ash! STOP STUFFING YOUR FACE!" I yelled at her when she wanted to shove another slice of cheesecake in her mouth.
"At least leave some for me." I grumbled under my breath and she laughed when she heard me.
I'm so glad everyone calmed down after what went down and it's almost 8 in the morning now.
Nobody went to sleep except Nicholas but I'm okay with that because Aiden is with him.
"I'm gonna go up and check on them." Ashley nodded and shoved another piece of cake into her mouth.
I rolled my eyes and entered the lift, pressing 3 as it closed.
I sighed as I closed my eyes.
How did everything reach this point? I'm so tired of everything, I just want to live a normal life.
I opened my eyes again as the lift doors opened and I stepped out into the corridor again.
As I walked towards the door, I nodded at the guards with a smile and they stepped aside.
I guess Aiden is really taking all the security measures seriously.
I mean I knew he did by the tons of guys standing outside the house but you know right outside his door too? Damn.
As the door opened, Aiden and Nicholas fast asleep came into view.
Nicholas was all spread out and Aiden had his hand over him in a protective manner.
Why is that literally the cutest thing I've ever seen?
I smiled as I took quietly took a photo of them and shoved my phone back into my pocket.
"You're such a creep." Aiden turned over and smirked at me with his eyes closed.
Fuck this is embarrassing.
"Uh... Good morning?" He chuckled and finally opened his eyes.
"Good morning baby." He motioned me to go over to him and I quietly made my way over to him.
I gave him a quick peck and he smiled brightly at me.
"Was he alright?" I mumbled softly, pointing at Nicholas.
He nodded and gently brushed his hair out of his face.
"He'll be alright. He's actually really attentive so we kind of have to be better at keeping everything low-key."
"What do you mean? Did he say anything to you?" I say slightly panicking because I don't know what he said.
"Nothing much. Just maybe a little bit of how you like to stare at me anytime you get to."
Oh God.
"Goddamnit." I mumbled under my breath and Aiden chuckled as I blushed furiously.
"Stare at me all you want baby. I'm all yours." He cupped my chin gently and kissed my lips.
If I could have blushed more, I would've.
Before I could say anything back, the door bursts open and the guard stared at Aiden with a frantic look on his face.
"Xander got shot in the backyard."
Fuck.
