Chapter 2

Narrator's POV

Morning comes, meaning another day of work. Y/N puts on her winter coat and grabs her backpack and heads out. 

She makes her way over to Seokjin's house to make sure he is ready to go. 

The snow falls ever so lightly on the little town of Jackson. 

Y/N knocks on Seokjin's door. "Jin, wake up it's me." She keeps knocking on his door till the door is swung wide open. 

"I'm ready, don't worry." Y/N rolls her eyes. 

"That's a first."

"Well, when I heard I was partnering up with you I woke up extra early today." She laughs at his little remark. 

"Well, we should head on down and meet up with the rest. I heard Jesse is gonna relieve Jungkook and Jimin."

"Heard Jungkook took a swing at Seth last night. Things must have gotten pretty heated if Jungkook couldn't hold in his anger."

"Yeah well, he got what he deserved." Y/N states without caring. 

"I know. Hows you and Ellie, I can tell things have still been a bit, well, off." 

Y/N stops walking and looks at Seokjin. "Don't worry Jin, everything is fine. What about you? You have been helping out in the garden division. I've noticed Ella has taken a liking to you." Y/N teases him. 

He rolls his eyes before running his hands through his face. "Oh my God, don't bring her up. I have been trying to drop hints that I don't like her but she won't take them. I'm just too handsome, what can I say?" Y/N gives him a dead stare. "Okay, she just isn't my type."

Y/N laughs, "Not your type? I didn't think you even had one. Then what is your type? Hold on let me guess." She stays quiet and thinks as she keeps walking to the entrance of Jackson. "Oh I know, me." She whips her hair in an exaggerated motion. She laughs at her own joke. 

She nudges Seokjin with a large smile planted on her face. while flipping her hair again. Seokjin looks at her with wide eyes and a slightly pink face. "What?" He asks a bit too loudly with a frown on his face. 

"Fine, geez, I was just kidding. You didn't have to say it like that. Didn't think you would be disgusted by the thought of being with me." Y/N walks away leaving him behind. 

"Y/N wait, that's not what I meant." Seokjin runs after her.

"Okay guys, remember the protocol. Get to your lookouts and if things get too much, you come right back here." Jesse says. Everyone nods their head and hop onto their own horse. 

"Jesse, once you release Jimin and Jungkook, tell them to take a break. They have been taking on too many assignments recently."

Jesse laughs, "Sure thing, Y/N. Okay guys, let's go." With that everyone rides out.

"Creek Lake is our second stop, but we must first get to the radio tower," Dina states out. 

"Shouldn't be too long from now," Ellie says. 

Ellie and Dina ride in front as Seokjin and Y/N follow from behind. 

"Ellie and Dina seem happy together," Seokjin whispers to Y/N. 

"They do. But according to Ellie, they are not actually 'together'. To be honest, I didn't think Jesse and Dina were gonna last anyways."

"Just like you and Derek?" Seokjin says as he continues to scope the area. 

Y/N's eyes widen, "Hey, that was uncalled for."
