Chapter 12

Narrator's POV

Hoseok follows Ellie through the swamped city. They can hear voices from a distance. They see the hospital, noting that they have finally arrived at their destination.

Hoseok doesn't speak a word to Ellie, feeling a bit hurt by her words earlier. Ellie's behavior has worried the others due to her persistence to get revenge.

Under the banks of water is an entrance to a storage room. Not many people other than the WLFs know about this place. The only way to enter is due to a certain direction of swimming towards it which will lead you to the entrance.

Ellie and Hoseok are lucky to have found it. With Ellie's mind filled with one thing and one thing only, she follows the current and enters the underground waterway to the storage room.

Ellie swims back up to the surface and hears strange music playing. Hoseok pops up as well.

"Someone is in here. We need to be quiet." Ellie states as she slowly swims forward to the sound of music.

Once she gets close enough, Ellie notices a woman sitting on a box looking down at a device with headphones plugged in. The woman sits with her back facing towards the body of water. Ellie uses this unfortunate event to her advantage.

In a swift movement, Ellie pulls herself up and grabs her swiss knife, and puts the woman in a chokehold.

Ellie yanks the headphones off as Hoseok gets up and watches the water.

"Don't make a f*cking sound. Hands up."

The woman is desperate, and puts her hands up, with the device in one hand.

"Do you know a girl named Nora?" Ellie begins to interrogate.

"Yeah, sure."

"Where is she?"

"In the hospital."

Ellie pushes the knife deeper into the woman's throat, but not enough to start bleeding. "Where in the hospital?"

"They're c-cleaning out the upper f-floors. She should be somewhere up there." Ellie lets her guard down as she figures out a plan.

Before Ellie could really begin to think, the woman turns towards Ellie and takes a knife from her back pocket. The woman swings her arm towards Ellie, but she catches it. In one swoop, Ellie straight plunges the swiss knife into the woman's throat.

Hoseok whips his head around as he hears Ellie mutter something under her breath. "Ellie did you-"

"Yeah. Already got the information I need. Now let's go."

Ellie walks out of the room as Hoseok is shocked at Ellie's quick decision. "Ellie, don't push me away too." He mutters to himself before following the said girl.

Ellie and Hoseok leave the room and are immediately greeted into WLF territory. Many are doing inventory as others keep watch.

"Sh*t, what now?"

"Should we split up? We go around the perimeter until we enter the building inside. Hide in the tall grass and we should be fine." Hoseok states his plan.

"Okay. See you inside."

Ellie hides in the tall grass, making sure to not be spotted. Her mind filled with one thing, Nora. Hoseok takes out anyone who might spot him. His mind conflicted with confusion. Are they doing the right thing?
