Ellie's POV
The guys wait outside as Dina, Y/N, and I head inside the dome.
"Guys, look, this place is a synagogue," Dina points out.
"How can you tell?" I ask her as I look around the empty place.
"Well, one, there are menorah decorations on the wall, which is a Jewish thing. And two, I didn't burst into flames," Y/N snickers at Dina's comment.
I look at them, puzzled, "Burst into flames?"
Dina smiles at me, "Its just a dumb joke."
"Unlike your other ones,"
Y/N bursts out laughing.
"Shut up," Dina replies.
We continue to look around until I spot a fuel tank. Next to the tank is a red gas can. I turn on the pipe but nothing comes out.
"Damn, empty."
"Language. This is a house of worship." Dina scolds me.
"If there isn't gas here, our best luck is the Courthouse Garage," I put the can in my backpack and head back to the others.
"I hope we find it or we have to find a different way past that gate." Y/N states.
I let out a sigh of frustration as we leave the building.
"Look, seems like an office," Dina says as she enters a room. I follow after her as she begins to rummage through the drawers. Dina picks up a piece of paper and begin's reading it, "WLF's were spotted on 5th and Elm. Should we check it out?"
"Doesn't seem worth it," Y/N says, "This place seems like it has been vacant for a while now, meaning those WLFs won't be there for too long. Let's get the fuel and make it to the Serevena Hotel."
"You're right, lets go," I answer her. We leave the building and reunite with the guys.
"Nothing," Dina says.
"I guess the Courthouse is our best chance," Jin says. "Well, let's go."
"I found this inside. Its a flyer for the WLF. 'Bare your fangs, they think we're sheep. Join the Washington Liberation Fronts.'" Y/N reads out.
"So that was their propaganda. Dina, in Boston we had a group of people called Butterflies." I tell her as I hop onto my horse.
Dina hops on behind me. "In New Mexico, we had this group called The Ravens. 'Protectors of the Constitutions' they said. A load of bull. They were just ex-FEDRA type of people who thought there were too many rules."
"Sounds like the type who would take a bunch of wives and shoot you for just looking at them wrong," Hoseok states.
"They were," Dina chuckles out.
We make our way to the courthouse which is across the river. "I wonder how Namjoon and Taehyung are doing. They couldn't have made it too far."
"Those two are fighters, I am sure that they are still alive. But knowing them, they like to keep moving, meaning they could be far from us already." Y/N says. Jin rides in front of us so I can get a good look at Y/N.
I can see the worry in her eyes. We are like family to her. She isn't perfect, she has made mistakes, ones that even I am still trying to deal with, one's I am still trying to forgive.
We all hope off our horses and walk up the steps to the courthouse. I try to open the doors but they don't budge. "They don't open. We have to find another way-" Glass is shattered everywhere.
