Naruto's pov:

It has been too long since I even spoke to anyone. Not even myself. It was another worthless day of my pathetic life.
I was sitting on my bed, my mind was somewhere I didn't even know. I was just there, trying to make sense of my existence, again, when a kunai broke my window and pinned straight on the wall. I got up and saw a note tied it. I didn't even bother looking back to see who threw it. I was too lost. I opened the letter and read it out in my mind:

Meet me at my apartment at 1am. Don't call anyone, don't come with anyone, don't dare call the Anbu, or any other shinobi, don't dare tell a single soul. Do not carry weapons. I just want to talk.
-Sasuke.

My eyes widened, was Sasuke here? In the village? What did he want here? Did he come back to me? Did he finally realise what I've been trying to say all these years?! If that is true, then I can finally keep the promise I gave to Sakura, maybe everyone will even notice that I tried. I held the note on my chest, slightly smiling, tears almost falling out of my red puffy eyes.

"You came to save me.
I missed you, Sasuke."

*time skip to 12am*

I can't wait anymore. I got up and wore my orange jacket, I saw the razors lying on my bed, I took them and kept it in my pocket. Just in case.
I started walking towards the Uchiha compound, and there it was, Sasuke's house. I opened his window, and got inside. The room was plain dark, not a single thing unnecessary, I didn't bother turning the lights on as I sat on the bed.
It was only 12:30am, anytime now.
I just waited impatiently. I didn't even realise it until I looked at the clock. It was already last 1am, it was 1:15am, maybe he's late. It's now 1:25am. I looked down at my feet, letting my tears out.
It was a prank, wasn't it. Somebody just decided to mess with me, because I'm vulnerable. I closed my eyes tightly, not letting anymore tears drop. I felt numb, more than ever. I went to his bathroom, without turning the lights on, I pulled my sleeve up, and dragged a big slit along my wrist over the ones already present, I applied more force than necessary this time, blood started dripping out, and a bullet of pain pierced right through my heart. I gave a weak smile in the mirror, I felt it, pain. I felt relief, like I was doing something right in this so called life of mine. The world would be a worthless soul less without my existence. I brought the razor upto my throat, where my veins practically bulged and begged to be cut off. I was about to place the razor on my skin, when I heard the door of the room open and close. I froze. Sasuke was actually here. He actually came. Without wasting a second, I wore my jacket back and opened the door, to see red eyes gleaming in the dark, staring into my soul. The moonlight reflected lightly on his pale skin, his cold aura filling the air. But I didn't care, he had actually come to me. I almost let the tears fall, I couldn't right now. I want him to talk to me. I stepped forward, closing the bathroom door behind me, and turning back to him. I took another step forward. And another. It was really him. Now I could see him clearly. All I saw was his emotionless face, staring at me. I took another step but something stopped me, i felt something sharp on my neck as I froze. It was his sword. He held it to my neck.
My mind was a mess. What was this? Was this just so he could kill me? No, he came to save me, he couldn't seriously be thinking of taking my life right now, right?
"Take another step and I won't hesitate to put this thought your neck. This house, was filled with paper bombs. I thought you'd get tired of waiting and head out, just so I could blow you up, but seems like you only like to die with my hands. No matter, I'll finish you off right here. And then I'll severe our bond, and take your blood, which will help me take my revenge, your Uzumaki blood seems pretty special. Even in death I'll use you, I'll do anything to reach my goal, and this time, you won't be there to interrupt." Sasuke said to me, his eyes hungering my blood.

So this was it.

My mind went somewhere beyond numb.

I hung my head low, looking at the sword blade that rested on my neck.

There was nothing left to expect.

I knew what to do.
