Chapter 16- Childhood Promises

"Ahhhhhhhh!" I screamed in pain.

"Y/N-neesan!!!" I heard from my little siblings.

"Now you saw the real pain!"

"Y/N(-neesan)!" I heard Zoey, Erin, and Astin call me. I only saw Gaara look behind, saw me, and looked shoked.

"Oh, more?" I heard that asshole laugh.

"I'll kill-" what my cousin and brother said together was cut off.

I was unconcious.

"Oi, Y/N!!!" little Tenten approached me.

"Tenten?" I looked at her, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just want to invite you to my sleepover party!"

My mom looked at me and smiled, "You can go. When and where?"

"Later night and at my house," Tenten answered. "Bye!"

"Bye!" and she left.

I saw my other friends with another two that I don't know. Also another one but he stays at the side this whole time. I want to talk to him but my friends always interupted me. I decided to talk to him later so my friend couldn't bother me anymore. I already knew the other two but not him; the one who stays at the side.

I went to the kitchen to grab some water, and also brought my beloved teddy bear. I returned to the bedroom when I saw that boy who was alone, crying. I walked near him.

"Why are you crying?" I asked him.

"Why aren't you running away?" he asked.

"Why do I have to run away?"

"Because I am a monster."

"Why would you be a monster?"

He kept quiet.

"People call me that..."

"How heartless," I wrinkled my nose. "Why would they be like that to you?"

"I wouldn't ask," he said. "Nobody loves me nor wants to be friends with me."

I thought for a while, looking at my teddy bear.

"Then here." I smiled, handing him over my teddy bear.

"Huh?" he was confused.

"This is a sign of our friendship, trust, and love." I smiled at him.

"You want to be friends with me?"

"Yeah, there's nothing wrong about it. It's just you, a normal human- going to be a strong ninja."

He smiled yet so bright, and I smiled back.

"And this is also my sign of trust, friendship, and love." he said, handing me a heart shaped necklace.

"Thank you. It's unique, and it'a very rare to see these stuff,"

"It was supposed to be for mom's, but I realized I bought two." he laughed at himself as I wore the necklace.

And I wore it ever since.

I woke up and saw everyone is here.

"What happened?" I asked them.

"You almost died saving the Kazekage's life." Sakura replied.

I tried to get up but I groaned in pain.

"Don't push yourself, Y/N." Sakura said.

"What happened to Hitoshi?" I asked them.

"He's dead." Mom replied.

"He was killed by the Kazekage when he saw you dying." Zoey seconded.

"Why would he kill him for me?" I asked them.

"Have you forgot Y/N, that he is your childhood friend?" Tenten replied.

I looked down as I remember the flashbacks.

"Y/N(-neesan)..." some familiar voice said.

I immediately looked for who it was and it was my two little siblings, Astin, Erin and the Kazekage.

"I am happy to see you alive." Aione and Dale said as they hugged me.

"Ah! Guys not there!" I groaned.

"Sorry..." They apologised.

"I hope you're okay by now." the Kazekage said.

"Yeah, Kazekage-sama." I looked down to avoid his glances.

"Well that's all for today, my daughter needs rest." mom said.

"See 'ya, Y/N." Erin said as he waved his hand.

"Yeah, see 'ya." I waved back as I watched them leaving. Zoey looked back at me, smiled nervously, and mouthed, Get better soon.

I mouthed back, Thanks. Take care. And she left.

Now, I am alone again... I quickly looked for the necklace Gaara gave me back then, it was still beautiful. Gaara, thanks for saving my life. I hope we are still friends after I told you everything, I hope this is not the end...
I hope we could still be friends.
