Chapter 24- Friends

I woke up when I saw Gaara's shoes beside my bed... I remember that he was the one who comforted me last night...

"Ah! What I have done?!" I asked myself.

Someone knocked on the door.

"The door is open!" I yelled.

"Y/N-neechan, the breakfast is ready and by the way the kazekage is here, your true love is here." Erin teased.

I glared at him.

"Get up now, lazy bones!" Erin yelled.

"You supposed to cheer me or tease me?" I asked him angrily.

"Both." he said as he left.

I get up and fix the bed, I brought with me his shoes. How I supposed to tell him how I feel? I still love him but I broke my promise.

"Oh, Y/N, you're awake. How are you?" mom asked me.

"I'm fine, mom." I said.

"Well, if that's the case, let's eat, and Y/N, sit beside the Kazekage."

I sat beside him avoiding his glances.

"By the way, thanks for comforting my daughter." mom thanked Gaara.

This is embarrassing.

"Your welcome, ma'am." he smiled.

He is so handsome when he smiles. I'm blushing...

"Mom, can I go to the garden?" I asked mom.

"Sure." mom replied.

I immediately got up, put the plates on the sink and walked to the garden but Gaara followed me.

I looked up in the sky when someone spoke and it was Gaara.

"Y/N?"

"What?"

"Why are you still avoiding me?" he asked me.

"I am not." I answered.

"You are!"

"I just don't know how to apologise to you."

"Apologise?"

"Because I broke my promise." I looked down.

"Hey, don't apologise, Y/N."

"But I broke my-"

"It doesn't matter, Y/N."

"But-"

"No buts."

"Then I'll give you words." I smiled.

"No words."

"Then I'll give you a sentence."

"Nor sentences."

"Give you phrases."

"No phrases, then."

I frowned.

"Just kidding."

It was the start of us being friends.
