Piccolo X human female reader

(y/n) pov: 

After you died helping fight Freiza on planet Namek you were wished back with the dragon balls. Before you died you had told Piccolo that you loved him but you never heard if he responded or not. When you were brought back to life you didn't see Piccolo anywhere and you couldn't help but be saddened. You assumed that he didn't have the same feelings towards you, considering you were just a human after all. You didn't really have a home anymore since you were dead for a few months so Goku let you stay with him. You and Gohan got along really well so you didn't mind the arrangement. Even though you weren't related to Goku the two of you grew up together so Gohan always called you his aunt. 

Once you were at Goku's house it was very clear that there wasn't any room for you to stay. So, you told them it was going to be fine and you set off to find somewhere you could stay. You would have to find a job and make some money but until then you had to stay somewhere. You would have stayed with Bulma but you didn't get along with Vegeta so you decided to make a home in the forest. You knew that you could build a house pretty quickly since you were stronger than normal humans. By the time your house was done it was already the next day and you were so tired you collapsed outside your newly built house. When you woke up you were laying in a bed. You thought that was super weird since you didn't have a bed yet in the house you just built. You sat up and almost hit Piccolo with your foot as you swung them off the bed. Piccolo was mediating while he laid against the bed-frame. 

You saw Piccolo open one eye to see what the commotion was about and he quickly stood up when he saw you. "O-oh, (y/n), you're awake?!" You looked at him and you couldn't help but let tears fall from your eyes. You ran out of the room and out of the house crying as you flew off in a random direction. All you can see is him telling you that he never loved you, that the feelings weren't mutual. He could have said it back before you died but he hesitated and that was the only answer you needed. You couldn't face him yet, you needed time to learn to suppress your feelings for him. You landed by a river and sat there moving your hand back and forth in the water. You felt Piccolo's energy as he landed a little ways away from you. You could feel the tears coming but you held them back because you didn't want Piccolo to see them. 

Piccolo came over to you and sat down, but you forced yourself to not look at him. Before long you felt a hand on your chin that forced you too look at the Namekian. You looked up at him and watched him as he brought his face slowly closer towards yours. Before you could regain your senses you felt Piccolo's lips against your own. It was a soft kiss but you could feel the emotion behind it so you kissed him back. Without breaking the kiss Piccolo pushed you onto your back as he deepened the kiss. When Piccolo ended the kiss you turned your head away but he forced you to look at him again, "(y/n), I'm not good with this kind of thing but I need to tell you something I should have a long time ago. I could have lost you back on planet Namek and I should have told you how I felt. (y/n). I love you." You were shocked at his confession but you still wondered by he wasn't there when everyone brought you back. "Piccolo, why weren't you there when I was brought back?" Piccolo looked down, "I was, I just hid from you because I didn't want everyone to see my reaction to seeing you again." You watched in disbelief as Piccolo's tears dropped down onto your face. "I felt so broken, lost when you died (y/n), I didn't know what to do. I was sure that I would never see you again, that something would happen to where they couldn't bring you back or that you didn't want to see me. I couldn't even protect you, I am not good enough for y-." 

You grabbed Piccolo's face and kissed him passionately. "Shut up you stupid green man, of course I wanted to see you again, I love you." Piccolo gave you a sad smile as he swiftly picked you up in his arms. "Why don't we head home then?" You smiled and leaned into his chest, "yes let's go home." Piccolo carried you home and you fell asleep in his arms feeling peaceful now that your feelings were returned.
