Chapter 8 Unparalleled You

      The next day, I sat up on my bed thinking about what happened last night. I cried hard but Changkyun was there to comfort me, though he was a bit awkward. He didn't ask me why S/N had taken her own life so I didn't tell him. He dropped me off to my home and left shortly after that.

       I didn't know what happened after that. Most probably, I cried myself to sleep. And woke up looking like a mess. I freshened up and checked my phone if I got any texts from Minhyuk. But instead, I saw that Hyungwon had texted me. I opened the chat.

Hyungwon: Are you free? (7:30)

Hyungwon: We could talk about the watch if you meet me. (7:30)

Hyungwon: Where do you want to meet? (7:31)

Hyungwon: You can call me if you have anything to say...(9:07)

Hyungwon: Or maybe just text me. (9:07)

Hyungwon: Are you asleep? (10:01)

Hyungwon: Guess I'm disturbing you then...?(10:02)

Hyungwon: Okay, I'll stop now. Text me whenever you're free. (10:03)

          I smiled at the number of texts he sent me. It looked like he wanted to help but wanted to hide that at the same time to maintain his cool personality. I shook my head before replying to him.

Y/N: Sorry for not replying. I was a bit busy. (7:16)

Y/N: We could meet today after my work hours. (7:16)

Y/N: Or I could skip work if you can't meet me that late. (7:17)

        I waited for a while to see if he'd reply. When I was about to put my phone away, I received another text from him.

Hyungwon: It's okay. And you don't have to skip work. (7:23)

Hyungwon: Where do you want to meet? (7:23)

I thought about it for a while before replying.

Y/N: Just meet me near the cafe and we can go somewhere else from there. (7:25)

Y/N: I don't think Minhyuk will come to work today so you won't run into him. (7:25)

Hyungwon: Okay. I'll be there. (7:26)

      With that, he went offline. I put my phone in my bag and had my breakfast before leaving for college. It felt kind of weird going to the subway station now that I knew that the last station of this line was a hideout for hackers of our town.

      I arrived at the college and went to my lecture hall. I looked around but couldn't see Minhyuk anywhere. I sat down on my seat before the lecturer walked in.

      After college, I walked to the cafe and started working. After a while, Shownu came in with Wonho again. I took their orders, which were the same as last time except Shownu ordered a few cupcakes too. I typed their orders on the computer with the amount of money.

"That's 10,200 won," I said.

       Wonho reached for his pocket to take some money out and handed the amount to me. It was going well until I spotted an obnoxiously familiar watch tied around Wonho's wrist. I stared at his hand in horror, completely frozen in my place.
