Chapter 23 Come Back

Hyungwon's POV-

       I went to the living room and sat on the sofa after coming out of Y/N's room. I sighed and rested my head on the backrest. And without knowing when I fell asleep on the sofa. It wasn't that comfortable, so I woke up after about 3 hours.

      I sat up and stretched my arms. I stood up and went towards the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to take out a water bottle. I closed it and turned around to the sound of the bedroom door opening. I saw Y/N standing in front of it.

"Are you hungry? It's around 7 and you haven't eaten anything since morning." I said.

I could see her walk to the living room from the corner of my eye.

"I could make ramen-"

I stopped midsentence when I lifted my head to look at her. She was holding a bag and wearing her coat.

"Y/N you-" This time I was cut off by her.

"I'm leaving." She said.

"What?"

She walked closer to me and took my hand in both of hers. She didn't lift her gaze to me though.

"Thank you for letting me stay here and everything you have done for me. Honestly, words aren't enough to describe how indebted I am to you." She said without the usual tone in her voice.

"But-"

"There is no excuse for me to be staying here now. They got what they wanted and I don't have to hide anymore." She said.

She gave me a glance and slowly, I felt her hands slip off of mine before she walked to the front door. I was standing in the same spot dumbfounded.

"I'm sorry if I was a burden..." She said and opened the door.

'That's not it...'

"Wait, don't-"

*click*

The door clicked shut after her.

'...leave me...'

Y/N's POV-

     I arrived home and walked in with my bag. I wasted some time on the couch listening to music before I fell asleep. I woke up around midnight and walked to my room before sleeping there.

    The next morning I woke up feeling a little better. I tried not to think about Wonho 'cause every time I did, my head would hurt and I'd feel dizzy. I decided to go to college to take my mind off of things. And as I expected, it did help lift my mood since Minhyuk and Shownu were there. I cleared things up with Shownu and made sure he felt better too.

       I hung out with them and went to the cafe after college. It didn't rain the whole day either so we had some good amount of customers. I was back to work after so many days. Things had returned to how they used to be before.

       I walked back home after work from the same empty dark street. I looked at the night sky which was cold just like before. I sighed and proceeded. I came to my apartment and glanced to Kihyun's door. I looked down and turned back to mine.

I sat down on the couch and sighed. I pulled my phone out from my pocket and checked for any messages. There were no texts so I decided to text Hyungwon.

Y/N: Hey (7:59)

I waited for him to see the text, which he did after a minute.
