"You did not understand..I said I was yours, but not anymore" I say, taking Jaz's arms off my neck.
I didn't expect this reaction from her, I was convinced that she was sure of her choice to end our relationship. But now it's clear to me that for her it has always been a game.
I once envied her husband, now I only feel sorry for that man.
"I thought you missed me.." Jaz backs away from me with a disappointed air, probably for being rejected.
"I did, like crazy. You don't know how much I wanted you back! But now it's different.."
"Why?" She asks me confused.
"I have seen the world through a photo" I answer her, thinking back to this morning spent with Feifei.
Jaz looks at me like I'm crazy, but I've never felt better.
I leave the locker room leaving that woman behind me.
"Where's Feifei?" I ask, entering the computer room and not seeing her at her desk.
"She just left" Mingi replies, not taking the eyes off his computer screen.
I run out, wondering why she left without warning me.
I'm starting to think of a thousand reasons why she did it, but none makes sense.
I get in the car and start going around the neighborhood. She can't have gone far, she doesn't have a car and she came here with me ..
Suddenly I know where to look. Closest bus stop.
Bingo.
"Why are you here?" I tell her, lowering the window, and pulling the car to the roadside.
"I'm waiting for the bus" She doesn't even look at me, her tone is annoyed, as if I was the origin of it.
"I mean why you didn't warn me ..I thought we had to go watch-"
"Stop that! Now I had enough. Go tell your lies elsewhere" Ok maybe I was right .. she's mad at me.
I park my car and get out. Feifei snorts as soon as I get closer, and keeps looking at the street waiting to see the bus.
"What lies are you talking about?" I know I have my faults, but I never lied to her.
"Don't pretend you don't know! I saw you with your beloved photographer.. I don't even understand why you're here and not with her.. Oh right! Did her husband arrived in the studio by chance?" I never expected these words from her, even though I know I deserve them.
"Now you are unfair"
"Go to hell Yeosang. You still can't understand where true love is" Feifei turns around and in her eyes I can see all the suffering I caused her.
"You are wrong, because I know I have it in front of me" I didn't think I would have told her like this, I'm still trying to understand this new feeling inside me, but I know it's something beautiful that was unknown to me, at least until Feifei entered my life.
"Yeosang I'm not her. I don't want to be a replacement" I smile at those silly words.
"This is exactly why I am now in front of you and nowhere else. You are not a replacement for anyone. And if you let me, I'll show you how unique you are to me" I am exposing myself with the fear of suffering again. But I want to entrust my heart to her now, I only hope she will take care of it.
Feifei nods and says an 'ok' that only the two of us can hear.
I approach even though she seems hesitant. I caress a tear of her cheek and take a silent oath.
I don't know what she sees in me, I know I'm not perfect and have a thousand flaws.
But I want to be a better person for her, because she is what makes me feel alive, the one who made me smile when nobody could.
She is the one.
