My mate's dead - saw her once and she was killed by rogues before I could get to her. It's my mission to never be that weak ever again. With Bekah I can have that. She's the most powerful wolf I've ever met - unfortunately she has this connection to her pack. I'm still furious that Derreck was her mate - trust me, it was obvious - but now that he's gone it's my chance. The pups we'll have will only make us stronger but that'll be year before that happens...unless pups are what I need to keep her with me, then it's as soon as possible. Having power is all that I need - thankfully having other alphas makes that possible. The idea came from a story my father once told me..but I won't let what happened to that other guy happen to me. He was weakened by caring too much for the alphas he brought in. My pack is strictly for the power they give me...the only thing I will care about are my pups.
