JUNO'S FINGERTIPS TRACED OVER THE SPINES OF SEVERAL BOOKS WITHIN THE GUILD'S ARCHIVES. All of the guild's records were stored within the archives and it happened to be one of her favorite places to be aside from the second floor sofa.
"Hey, Mira! What are you doing up there?" She heard Lucy's voice call. Juno glanced over from where she reshelved another book on one of the lower sections. MiraJane stood atop a high ladder, though Juno's magic circled cautiously around the air, ready to catch the former S-Class mage should she fall. It seemed Lucy noticed the familiar golden glitter as well and smiled warmly. "Juno! You're here too."
"Just a bit of reorganizing, that's all." Mira answered.
"Oh, I can help with that." Lucy offered enthusiastically. Juno raised an eyebrow, amused by the celestial mage's willingness to help out with what most would consider a boring job.
"Are you sure you'd want to? You might find it bothersome after a while." The female Dreyar informed her.
"Yeah. I'm good with boring stuff." Lucy assured them. One of her celestial spirits, Plue, even popped up from her shoulder to agree. As they got to work, Lucy began to recount the quizzical behavior of Natsu and Happy prior to her coming over to the guild hall. "And then he just stormed off. What a jerk, right?"
MiraJane giggled lightly. "Maybe, but that's what makes him so cute."
"You really think so?" Lucy asked from her position high atop the ladder.
"Of course. You're attracted to Natsu's boyish charms too, aren't you?" Mira teased the celestial wizard.
"What?" She sputtered at the same time that a familiar tingle shot up Juno's arms. She flicked her wrist out as Lucy toppled from the ladder and brought lots of books down with her. The golden glitter wrapped securely around Lucy's waist and a smaller tendril diverged to snag Plue before it pulled them away from the avalanche of books.
"Lucy!" Mira exclaimed in alarm. The dust settled quickly and revealed that both the blonde and her spirit were safe. Juno couldn't help but giggle a little bit.
"That was a close one, wasn't it? Are you both all right?" She asked as the glitter set them both on their feet again.
"Yeah, sorry about that. Thanks for the save, Juno." Lucy replied while the glitter mage received an adorable hug from Plue. The spirit wrapped their arms around her leg, nodding their head in gratitude. "I guess ladders aren't my strong point."
