It was 7:30 PM, half an hour before the library closed. It was near empty because most students left from overloading their brain for finals week. In a table behind bookshelves in the far corner of the library were two students, one studying and one lounging around.

Park Chaeyoung, a Hufflepuff 5th year, had her eyes trained intently on her Divination textbook with annotated cram notes beside her. Sitting adjacent to her was Lalisa Manoban, a Gryffindor 5th year, who was reclined on the wooden chair with her History of Magic textbook opened and resting on her face.

"I am so tired," Lisa whined. Her brain couldn't take another word from the boring book.

Chaeyoung slapped Lisa on the arm harshly without looking up from her book, making Lisa jump and rub the area in pain.

"Keep studying, Lisa." She scolded. "You can't afford to fail History of Magic again, especially with O.W.L.s coming up."

Lisa pouted and leaned on the Hufflepuff girl's shoulder, looking up at her with pleading big eyes. Since their first meet during their 1st year when Lisa's prank accidentally fell on Chaeyoung instead of Jennie Kim, her Slytherin rival, (consisting of ink and powder), they had become close friends, then girlfriends, despite all odds. However, Chaeyoung always pushed Lisa to do better academically when Lisa didn't care all that much for grades, which was why she chose to sleep in most of her classes instead. She was more of a duelist and prioritized Quidditch.

Chaeyoung glanced briefly at Lisa who kept up the act. Finally, she put down her textbook and turned her attention to the pouting girl. Chaeyoung pinched Lisa's soft cheeks and wiggled her face.

"Lalisa Manoban." Chaeyoung said with serious eyes. "Study. I don't know what I will do with you if you flunk this year."

Chaeyoung picked up her book and went back to studying. Lisa crossed her arms, annoyed that she wasn't giving her attention. She peeked over Chaeyoung's shoulder to see what she was studying. The topic said "Fate".

"Do you actually believe in that junk, Chae?" Jennie snorted. She hated Divination and thought the whole concept was phony.

"I think it holds some truth." Chaeyoung replied, eyes never leaving the text. "Of course, it's pure conceptual." She acknowledged, knowing her girlfriend didn't believe in it.

Lisa leaned on the table, her head resting on her hand, below Chaeyoung's book. "Do you believe we're fate?" She cooed, cocking an eyebrow.

Chaeyoung owered her book to look at Lisa over the top of the pages. "Yes, sweetie." She said. "Only fate can explain why I ended up with a dummy."

Lisa gasped in fake offense, her hand resting on her heart. "You don't mean that."

Chaeyoung smirked. "With my whole chest."

"But you love this dummy." Lisa purred, lowering Chaeyoung's book with her finger.

The Hufflepuff furrowed her eyebrows, realizing that the Gryffindor was intentionally distracting her, and it worked. She looked at the grandfather clock that read 7:40 PM.

"Keep studying." Chaeyoung scolded and whacked Lisa with her book. "We have 20 more minutes in the library. You are not going to fail your exam tomorrow."

That statement instigated another whine from Lisa. This time, it was too loud and Madam Pince peeked over the corner and sharply hushed the girl. Chaeyoung stiffened a giggle when Lisa face turned beet red.

"Let's do something fun. We've been studying for two hours." Lisa entreated, tugging at the sleeve of Chaeyoung's robe like a small child.

"Lisa, I swear to-" Chaeyoung began to berate, but went speechless when she realized she was inches away from Lisa's face, whose amorous eyes twinkled amusingly. Chaeyoung quickly raised her book to cover her face that turned the shade of a tomato. No matter how confident and arrogant the Hufflepuff was, Lalisa Manoban was always able to bring out her timid side.

Lisa stood from her chair and towered the sitting girl. She leaned forward, her hand on the bookshelf behind her, and lowered the book, revealing Chaeyoung's eyes that were squeezed shut. She smirked.

"Rosie~" Lisa hummed. "Play with me."

Lisa took her book out of her hands gently and placed it on the table. Chaeyoung's heartbeat began beating rapidly when the Slytherin leaned on top of her, making her shrink into her chair.

"Lisa, not here!" Chaeyoung breathed through gritted teeth. "If Madam Pince-"

Lisa placed her finger on her girlfriend's plump lips, stopping the girl from rambling on.

"So what if Madam Pince finds us, goody two shoes?" She teased, the thought making the moment more of a thrill for her. Studying Chaeyoung, she noticed her eyes flicked briefly to her lips. She smirked, knowing she got her whipped.

"Lisa..." Chaeyoung whimpered, her body giving in to the heated tension when Lisa's heated hand caressed her thigh.

Before Lisa could enclose the gap between their lips, a sharp voice from behind them called out, "Girls!"

Both girls whipped around to see Madam Pince with her arms crossed, her face etched with fury, and a big stick in her hand. Lisa turned to Chaeyoung , whose eyes were wide with fear.

The librarian whacked them and berated them as the girls tried to hurry to pack up their materials and leave, saying "it's late" and "inappropriate". When they were finally out of the library, Chaeyoung hit Lisa's arm scoldingly.

"I told you!" Chaeyoung grumbled. "Madam Pince was going to catch us."

Lisa chuckled, throwing her arm around Chaeyoung's shoulder."Relax. We only got caught because the library was closing."

Chaeyoung outed angrily, refusing to meet Lisa's eyes.

Lisa sighed. "I'm sorry. I'll buy you chocolate frogs at the next Hogsmeade visit. Deal?"

Lisa saw Chaeyoung's eyes brightened at the mention of chocolate frogs, her favorite sweet. "That seems like a deal!" She flashed her gummy smile and pulled Chaeyoung along, walking her to her dormitory.

Once they reached the Hufflepuff tower, Chaeyoung gave Lisa a goodbye kiss like they always do.

"I'm still mad at you." Chaeyoung said with her eyebrows furrowed.

"See you at the next study session." Lisa winked playfully.

"You are not going to fail that exam tomorrow." Chaeyoung called out to her while she walked away, her feet skipping and hands in her robe pockets.

"I am!" Lisa replied from over her shoulder. "Just for you!"

Indeed, Lalisa Manoban failed her History of Magic exam again, resulting in another library study session with Park Chaeyoung , much to her dismay.
