It's been three weeks
And Jisoo could officially say that she and Jennie were not the same after Jennie and Lisa began hanging out
Jennie's time was prioritized on her, and only her. She walked around the halls with her, eating lunch with her, driving her to and from school
Jisoo though only stood from a deadly distance as she felt her whole world falling apart
Not instinctively falling apart, since she watched her whole world get closer to another girl
Jisoo knew this would happen, she knew one day Jennie was going to fall in love with another girl and though Jisoo tried to prepare herself before, it never seemed to work.
Jennie was happy though
This shy girl unraveled to the happiest woman on the planet since she began talking to Lisa
Her smile was beaming like never before, Jennie's whole world was brighter than before
So shouldn't Jisoo be happy?
Jennie got what she wanted
Jisoo knew later in life the two of them wouldn't be so close since Jennie was going to fall in love
Maybe Jisoo was just so naive to believe it
Jisoo had hope that Jennie will fall for her just as she did for her
But no, it was just a one-sided love story and Jisoo had no way out.
Sadly, she was left to suffer
Knowing even if she'd tell her, nothing would happen

Walking to her locker, Jisoo heard the familiar laughter walking out of the classroom behind her and she clenched her eyes shut, wanting to shove her whole head inside the locker in front of her
But maybe Jennie didn't notice her
"Baby lets go to your place..." Lisa whined
'Baby?...'
Jisoo shut her eyes, the word making her heart in your chest. Tears fought through her shut eyes as she tried to hold in her sobs
"Okay hold on, I'm gonna go to the restroom. Go wait for me in the car okay?" Jennie's voice softly spoke to the taller girl
There was silence and Jisoo rested her head against the cold metal, hiding her face behind the locker door
"Jisoo..." Jennie happened to stammer out
Jisoo wiped away her tears, sniffling
"Hey... is everything alright?" Jennie looked at her with a worried look
"Hey Jennie-yah, I'm fine. I'm just stressed" Jisoo wiped her eyes, forcing a smile
"We haven't spoken in forever, what's going on?" Jennie said worriedly, turning Jisoo around as she grew more concern over the older girl
"We are both just busy, time and space is nothing" Jisoo muffled a laugh
And it broke Jennie, to watch Jisoo this way. But she'll never admit it
"You want to tell me what's going on?"
Jisoo shook her head, knowing well she'll breakdown any second now
"No? Okay now I know something is really up" Jennie held her shoulders tightly
"Jennie it's nothing. Don't you have to hurry? Lisa is waiting for you" Jisoo mumbled
"She can wait, talk to me..." she pleaded
"I need to go" Jisoo rolled her eyes
Jennie held her hand, looking at Jisoo
"Jisoo, please tell me what's wrong" Jennie begged, her voice full of eager
"Is it cause I did something? I know I've been a bad friend. I admit that, but I've been so focused on Lisa. We're dating now and ugh thanks to you my life has gotten better-"
Jisoo didn't realize all the tears that were streaming out of her eyes
She wasn't sobbing but she had cried as if she has never cried before
"Chu no what's going on?" Jennie was worried sick now, her heart pounding
"I have to go" Jisoo shuts her locker, grabbing her backpack while walking away
"Jisoo Wait!" Jennie shouted after her, shouting the girl's name down the hall as she chased after her, voice echoing
"I Love You Jennie! Okay?! Is that what you wanted to hear?! I'm in love with you but it doesn't matter because you love somebody else" Jisoo finally confessed, watching the way Jennie froze in front of her
"Jisoo... you were the one who helped me get Lisa" Jennie said, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion
Jisoo took a deep breath trying to contain her emotions but decided it was enough
She was tired of keeping this to herself for so long
"Because I wanted you to be happy, and you are. You said because of me your life has gotten better. Well for me my life has gotten worse and it's all because the girl I love is so stupid in love with someone else" Jisoo cried out, tears slipping so embarrassing down her face, and Jennie couldn't do anything but watch her.
"Jisoo..." she whispered, taking a step forward
But Jisoo quickly backed away, putting her arms up as she already knew she looked like a mess from the way her mascara was smearing away
"I have to go, just go be with Lisa. I don't wanna be the reason to take your happiness away" Jisoo said walking away, rushing out of the school
Jennie never followed after her, and Jisoo knew just right there... the feelings weren't mutual and genuine.
