Sunday morning found Harry in a great mood as he was finally getting to meet Hagrid. He had gone to France with Madame Maxime, and Harry had missed him quite a bit.

Of course the other thing that had him in such a good mood was the fact that he had woken up with Draco's arm around his waist as he held him close to his chest. This was the first time he had slept peacefully through the night, feeling secure in Draco's arms. When he had woken up, he had placed a light kiss on his lips as a good morning.

He went to open the door as he heard the knock, followed by Ron's voice, "Oi, let's go see Hagrid." He had asked Draco to come along, but Draco wasn't ready just yet, and he didn't want to push it. He bid him goodbye and left with Ron and Hermione, making their way over to Hagrid's hut.

They knocked on the door and waited. "Hullo yeh three," Hagrid said as he opened the door letting them in. "Hello Hagrid," they all said as they hugged him. All of them sat around the fire, trying to warm up from the chilly air outside.

"So how's Madame Maxime?" Ron asked suggestively. If a giant could blush, Hagrid would have. "She is good. How have you been?"

"We have been great," Hermione said as Hagrid got up to make some tea. "All eight years got shifted to the third floor corridor and I was put in a room with Theodore Nott, Mione with Pansy Parkinson, and Harry with Draco Malfoy." Ron added.

Hagrid looked back at them, "With Malfoy? Yeh haven't bin fightin' have yeh?" Harry shook his head but before he could say anything Ron and Hermione were answering for him.

"Oh they haven't been fighting at all," Hermione said smiling. "That's good," Hagrid said. "Actually..." Ron started, "they are dating." The shock was evident on Hagrid's face as he passed them all tea and looked at Harry. Harry felt the need to explain and defend Draco. "Draco has changed a lot, you know. He feels sorry about everything he did, he apologised." Hagrid looked at him and nodded. "Does he treat yeh alrigh'?" he asked, because he cared about Harry. Harry nodded. They finished their tea in a companionable silence.

"Bring Draco along next time, I want to meet him properly," Hagrid said, smiling. Harry was so happy that Hagrid was ready to give Draco another chance, and he gave him one more hug before leaving.

The trio made their way over to the lake where they sat together like they used to do before.  He knew that Draco was also going to stay with Pansy and Blaise. Sitting with his friends just felt so good; they hadn't done that in a while, being so wrapped up in their own personal lives. He grinned as he watched Ron and Hermione having an argument over studies and then as Ron put an arm around her shoulders and smiled fondly. They were so perfect for each other, and their love was just so pure it practically shone through them. Harry's eyes widened as he saw something a little away from them, more like two people kissing. Ron and Hermione followed his gaze as he looked at Ginny and Luna kissing each other beside the lake.

"Oh yes, you weren't there yesterday, but Luna asked Ginny to be her girlfriend, apparently the two like each other a lot," Ron explained, shrugging.

"And you are okay with it?" Harry asked.

"Well, Luna is great, and I know she won't hurt Ginny, but also because Hermione threatened me with no kisses for a week if I said something or went all over protective big brother on them," Ron said, grinning sheepishly.

"So we both have a preference for blondes then," Harry said. "And you are both as straight as Luna's hair," Hermione added smirking.

"You are not the only gay people though, Blaise and Neville too, I reckon," Ron said. Harry looked at them.

"In Hogsmeade, they sat together and Neville was a flustered mess most of the time, laughing at Blaise's jokes. Blaise acted like a true gentleman, and he looked at him smiling the whole time while he talked about some plant," Ron said. As much as Ron seemed like he was not noticing, he was very perceptive. Harry knew that if Ron thought that the two liked each other, it was most probably true.

By now Hermione had completely tuned out of the conversation, becoming engrossed in the book she had open on her lap. "Seriously though mate, you had to go and start liking Malfoy?" Ron said with no actual scorn behind his words. "Oh he's still a prat, but I like him a lot," Harry said.

After a while of sitting together and talking, they decided to return to their own rooms. Pansy and Hermione were getting along well, and so were Theo and Ron. All of them had found that even if the Slytherins had mastered the Art of Prattiness, they were good company, and you couldn't help but appreciate the schemes they came up with.

Harry made his way back to his room, where he saw Draco sitting writing something on a piece of parchment. He placed a light kiss on Draco's lips then said, "What are you doing?" Draco looked up at him and smiled, "Just writing to my mother." "Oh how is she doing?" Harry asked. "She is doing well, she says that she is going to France to stay with some relatives till the end of the year, as the Manor gets lonely," Draco replied wondering why Harry would ask after his mother.

"I never thanked her properly, did I? For saving me in the forest by pronouncing me dead. " Harry said. "You saved me. You spoke for us in the trials, Harry, you don't have to thank her, she was just helping the side we should have been on," Draco said, putting a hand on Harry's cheek. Harry leaned into the touch.

"I should have thanked her and I don't even know if she likes me now that I am dating you."

"Oh she likes you, and she doesn't have a problem with us dating, I told her about it and her letter suspiciously sounded as if she had expected it," Draco said. Harry practically beamed at the news and then told Draco to tell his mother that he hoped she was doing well.

A few weeks had passed and they were into mid-November by now. It had become very cold, and Harry couldn't find his hoodie. He found Draco sitting on the sofa in the common area wrapped up in two blankets. He went and snuggled up to Draco as Draco wrapped the blankets around the both of them, pulling him closer. Harry saw that Draco was wearing the hoodie he had been looking for the whole time. "So have you seen my hoodie?" Harry asked. Draco shook his head, faking innocence and smiling cheekily. Draco just looked so adorable in his hoodie that Harry knew that he had lost his hoodie forever, not that he minded though.

Since it was Sunday, Harry was going to meet with Ron and Hermione while Draco met with Pansy and Blaise. This time Hermione didn't come, as she wanted to go to the library. As Ron and Harry talked, their conversation went from Blaise and Neville (who had finally gotten their guts together and officially started dating) to Draco. Harry found himself telling Ron why he liked Draco as much as he did.

"Draco will always be a sarcastic git you know, but he's grown so much. He feels guilty about the mistakes he made and wants to redeem himself. He hates the boy his father had made him to be, and now that Lucius is an Azkaban he is finally free to live on his own terms. He always tries to not be his father, he doesn't lash out at people in the hallways when they make rude comments. He is so smart and caring, every single time I am having a bad day he knows just what will make me smile. He doesn't pity me when I cry about my nightmares. There's so many things about him that used to irritate me, but now I find them endearing and sometimes I wonder how I became so lucky to find him."

Ron looked at his best friend as he realised why Harry's words sounded so familiar. He had sounded the same when he first realised he was in love with Hermione. Suddenly, her irritating 'know-it-all' attitude had become endearing. He had started to love the shine that took over Hermione's eyes when she talked about something new she had learned. Harry sounded just like that. "Mate, I think you are in love with Draco," Ron said. Harry's expression changed as he realised what Ron said was true. He might be in love with Draco Malfoy. "Yeah, you are right, I might be," Harry said slowly.

While going back to his room, he couldn't help but think about what he had just realised. Draco was perfect, really. He had met Hagrid and apologised profusely, making Hagrid start to like him. He had apologised to his friends and stopped making any snide comments, except the ones that he made for fun with no real hate. Draco understood him, understood his scars, understood what being used felt like, and he was there for him.

That night, Harry lay down with his head in Draco's lap, who was reading a Potions book as he lazily stroked his slender fingers through Harry's hair, smoothing it out. Currently Draco was looking very cute while frowning at something he didn't understand, and Harry knew for sure that he was in love with the grey eyed boy, and had been for a while.
