Chapter 17: Date?

Being blind folded by one of her mates was not how Taylor had in planned for tonight but here she was ,stumbling after Nik. "Puppy your taller then me,slow your stride" she snapped attempting to catch her breath

"That nickname of yours is annoying" is all she heard before she was picked up bridal style.

"It's doing its job then. I love to annoy you" she mused smiling up at him through the blindfold.

"Lucky me"

Taylor couldn't help but smirk as she was put down. She couldn't run from her Mates,that much she knew but annoying the hell out of them was fun. More fun then defying Marcel at time. "Can I look yet or am I doomed to eternal darkness" She joked crossing her arms

"Oh I do love a good drama queen" she heard Nik joke before he moved the blind fold. What she saw was both cheesy yet breathtaking.

A blanket was laid out on the ground with a basket laid on top. It was surrounded by different types of flowers and overlooked a lake where it reflected the light of the moon."your cheesy. You do realize that right"she questioned glancing up at Nik

"I'm going to take it as you like it" He smirked down at her before walking towards the blanket "well come on let's not waist time taking in all my glory"

Taylor couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You wish you were that hot" she knew it was a lie. Nik had the looks and so does Elijah,not that she will ever admit it aloud.

Walking towards Nik she took a seat on the blanket once he also sat. She watched began to unload the food. It was mainly finger sandwiches and sofa. Something simple but she thought it was nice. Nothing over the top like she expected Nik to do.

"You know" Nik began. "Being my.....I mean our mate is not that bad. Yes we may be a little overbearing-"

"A little?"she questioned swiping a sandwich off the tray

"Anyways,as I was saying we are not that bad. I especially won't ever let something happen to you" Nik continued on eating a sandwich himself.

Taylor didn't really know how to respond or even if she could trust him. They all have there issues and she knew he had his deep down too. Could she really deal with them and Elijah's inner demons too and on top of that her own. She turns into freaking coyote with daddy issues. Could she really judge anyone else.

"Enough about all that let's just get to know one another" Nik mumbled pouring Taylor a drink. "were you born in New Orleans"

"Yup. Never left" she mumbled taking the cup of orange soda from Niks hand.

"Then I must take you traveling one day. " Smiling taylor agreed. She wanted to travel and get away from New Orleans for a bit. Of only for a day.

This is how the rest of the night been. Asking one another simple questions the other would answer and vice versa.

Everything was going nice until they had to go home. Taylor was dreading it considering all the problems they still have to deal with. Walking into the compound they were met by Elijah who scowleded once he saw them. "And where have you two run off too. After everything that happen you two decide to run off."

"Everything was fine so I took her on a little outing. Yes things happened today but let's not let the define our lives Elijah. Let not forget what's important" Nik snapped wrapping an arm around Taylor who's good mood vanished.

Meeting Elijah's eyes she glared slightly before shaking Niks arm off" I'm going to bed" she mumbled walking away to her room. She didn't have time for there argument on you had a bigger dick then the other and should run the family. It was annoying and they made her just want to kick both there asses daily.  Stripping from her clothes she showered before going to sleep in her night clothes
