This chapter delves into what truly transpired in the village and why Kofi left in such a haste. It also unveils some past secrets of these two characters, Layla and Bianca.
**** ""Kofi," he called, tapping his shoulder gently. "You need to wake up." Richard's weary voice pierced through his sleep until he could no longer ignore it. For a moment, he thought it was Serwaa trying to rouse him, but instead, he saw Richard's shadow hovering above him.
He blinked his eyes open slightly and glanced at Richard before attempting to sit up. He felt the weight of Serwaa's head on his arm; she was fast asleep, looking peaceful like a newborn baby.
Carefully, he moved his arm out from under her head, making sure not to disturb her. He watched her for a moment, placing a soft kiss on her forehead before following Richard outside.
"What's going on?" he asked, stifling a yawn.
"Trust me, Richie, if you're here to give me medication, forget it. I can't handle any more. Sometimes it feels like I've been overloaded with drugs."
"No, that's not it. I'm glad to see you're feeling better. I got a call from a woman named Bianca. She said her sources traced you to me and that she needs you in Accra, urgently," Richard explained.
"What?" he gasped. "Bianca keeps tabs on me? She knows where I am? Unbelievable." He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair.
"Well... she sounded nervous, almost scared, over the phone. It's like she's under a lot of pressure," Richard said.
Kofi pondered for a moment, then sighed. "I'll go take a shower and head to Accra immediately."
"If you take a shower here, Serwaa might wake up. You seemed to want her to rest, so you should freshen up at my place. I'll book you a flight while you get ready."
"Wow," Kofi said. "Thanks, Richard. You're still as loyal and helpful as ever. I appreciate it."
"Of course," Richard replied, flashing a smile.
"One more thing, if you don't mind. Please tell Serwaa not to worry. I'll be back for her as soon as I'm done with whatever this is. And please make sure she eats something; she hasn't had anything all day. Take care of her, Richie, please. I'll be back for her right after I sort things out with Bianca, I promise."

Promises, they say, are meant to be broken, but Kofi was determined to defy that notion. His words carried weight as he made his pledge. He had one singular objective: reach Accra, resolve matters with Bianca, and then finally be with the woman he desired. She had lingered in his thoughts for two long years, impossible to ignore despite his efforts. His heart yearned for her, driving him with a fervor he had never known before. This time, he was resolute, and unwavering in his commitment to fulfill his promise.
