~Rachel's P.O.V~

I gasped. what I saw was horrifying. My friends were crumpled up in ways that shouldn't be possible and being carried away on stretchers by some blonde kids. At that point I was confused, in pain, AND now my friends were seriously injured. I broke down. I couldn't take it anymore. I fell to my knees and began to sob into my cold hands. I felt as if someone had put a 5000 pound anvil on my shoulders. A warm hand was placed on my shoulder, attempting to comfort me. After about 10 minutes, a pair of strong arms picked me up princess style. I looked up to see a boy with only one eye looking at me with a smile on his face. I screamed and so did he. I kept screaming when he stopped.
"Hey, hey. It's ok pretty girl. I will not hurt you. I am good Tyson." Said the cyclops, calming me down. 'How did I know he was a cyclops?'
"Oh...well. I guess. I...uh...where are you taking me?" I asked nervously
He smiled his big goofy smile. He was tall and beefy, with brown shaggy hair and crooked teeth (with what looked like peanut butter in between them). His one eye was ocean grey/blue and he had long thick eyelashes....like a baby does.
"We will go see the pony-man, Chiron. He will know what to do. He is a pony you know. One of the thief boys will come too." Tyson stated staring down at me
"Thief boy?" I asked confused.
Before Tyson could answer Connor ran up to us. "Oh, good. You found Rachel."
I scowled. He left me to cry on a hill, he is now on my list of people to smack in the face. Before I thought, 'hey, he rescued me from a monster. he must be a hero! A really good guy!'. But of course he leaves people on hills to cry alone, only to have a nice cyclops come and cheer them up. You know what, I'm glad he left. In fact he can keep doing what he is good at and leave again. I don't care.
"Sorry I left," Connor said noticing my upset face. "I went to check to see if Andrew and Abby were going to die."
Well that was stated frankly...
"Oh....thank you." I muttered, still a little irritated.
The three of us (or two bc Tyson was still carrying me) began to walk towards a big, light baby blue house. It was four stories tall and a had big wooden porch that went all the way around the house. There was strawberry fields in the back that some kids in funny hats were walking around in. Touching plants here and there.
Once we made it to the porch Tyson called out "Chiron?!"
"Yes, son?" Said a man waking out of the big double doors. Only he wasn't a MAN. He only normal to the waist. From then on he was a white stallion.
"O BOY!" Tyson clapped his hands, dropping me. I thudded to the ground and groaned in pain.
"Oh no! I did hurts you! I'm so sorry pretty girl!" Tyson said with worry written all over his face.
"It's fine Tyson. And my name is Rachel, by the way. " I said rubbing my head as I stood up. That's when I noticed Chiron was looking at me with a disturbed look on his face.
"Uh," I gulped "hi..."
"Hello, young Demigod. Let's have a talk, shall we?" He asked, looking down on me. (He was really tall and I was pretty short soooooo). I nodded
We walked inside where there was a living room with various couches littered about the place. Chiron awkwardly pushed himself into a wheelchair that should have been way too small. Magically, he got himself in there. My brain cannot hold out for much longer with all these strange things I'm seeing. Chiron gestured for me too sit, I did as I was told and awkwardly sat on the couch somewhat near him. Tyson had gone a while ago to chase a bird, and Connor was turning to go when Chiron called him back "wait! Connor, I want you to stay."
Connors face lite up he came and sat next to me, pretty close too. Hmmmm.
"So, what is your name?" Chiron asked casually.
"Rachel. Rachel Rose Carpenter. I kind of want to know what this place is." I said quietly.
"Oh, what a lovely name. How old are you dear?" He said nonchalantly.
"Uh... just turned 17. But what is this place?" I said a little more impatiently.
"Well, you are in camp half-blood. One of the two places your kind is safe from monsters that want to chase and kill you." He explained.
"My kind?" This was slightly offending....
"Yes. Your kind. Your a demigod. Half human half God. Greek probably. But you could be roman too, I doubt it though. You seem pretty greekish. Like I'm the son of Hermes, God of messenger-Ing." Put in Connor from my side.
Chiron began to explain all about the camp. The cabins that represent the Greek gods, which one I'd be temporarily staying in until I was claimed. He then proceeded to tell me that my godly parent would claim me soon, and then I would stay in the cabin that represents him/her. He explained what to do at the dining pavilion and the activities I would be participating in. The whole lot. The ups and downs, all of it. To my surprise, I didn't question a lot of it, in fact I accepted it. Believed it right away, and that's strange because it took me forever to believe that Andrew and Abby actually were my friends.
"Connor, it's getting dark" Chiron said quietly "you better take her to your cabin and get her settled in." Connor nodded and began walking out. Chiron held me back and whispered "Your special Rachel. There is something so different about you, and I'm going to find out. "
I gulped and jogged after Connor. Connor slowed till I caught up, "hey slowpoke, you'll be staying in my cabin till' you get claimed...hehe..." he winked at me. I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks.
I playfully punched his shoulder, "yeah so?" I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Ooooo Gurl you shinen', like a fifth avenue diamond!" He looked at me expectantly
"They don't make you like they used to, your never runnin' outta style" I sang at the top of my lungs
"Oooo pretty baby, this world mighta gone crazy" we sang the rest of the song together, with our arms spread wide, until we got to cabin 11.
"Well, th-" Connor was interrupted by me knocking someone over. I just ran right into them, I don't even know how. I guess it was dark, but I should have seen them. I looked down at who I had unintendedly attacked. It was a boy with black hair, in black clothes. He had dark (almost black) brown eyes with circles under them, like he hadn't slept in a long, long time.
"I'm sor- wait... Nico?!?" I quickly got up and so did he.
"How did you know m- R-Rachel?!?! Like Rachel Carpenter!" He exclaimed.
"Yeah! My gods, Nico! You got s- how? When?" I scrambled over my words like a little kid going up the stairs, tripping over every step. Nico stopped my train of half-finished sentences by giving me a hug. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held on tight. He rested his chin in my head. I buried my face in the crook of his neck. He smelled like sulfur and pine trees.
"How are you here?" he asked, breaking the hug.
"My friends and me were taking a rode trip, and long story short, we ended up here." I explained.
"But that's not possible," he said slowly
"What do you mean, it's very self-explanatory. We crashed into a parking me-"
Connor interrupted me with his laughs. His deep charming laughs. Ahhh. Wait what? Did I seriously just say that.
"Rachel..." Nico said in a small voice "you should've died 40 years ago"
