Work it Out - KiriKami

13 ~ Hope

‪Eijirou and Katsuki decided to skip class. Izuku was going to relay the information that Eijirou wasn't okay so they figured it would be fine to go hide at the top of one of the school's many stairwells, close to the roof so they wouldn't be stumbled upon.‬

‪Eijrou had yet to stop crying. The tears just kept overflowing from his eyes and his body shook. He'd lost the person who he loved most.‬

‪Kattsuki just sat there and let Eijirou cry it out. He knew there was nothing he could say to help but he didn't want to leave him alone.‬

‪He kept his hand on Eijirou's shoulder as a sign of support but that was all he could do. Eijirou appreciated it anyway.‬

‪Over an hour passed before Eijriou finally spoke, the crying having subsided, "I have to do something. I can't lose him."‬

‪"Let Jirou handle it for now. It's best we give him space for a little bit. Yeah, he can't be alone. But that's why Jirou is with him. You need to stay away until he's had time to calm down and process what's happened."‬

‪Eijirou rubbed his face, tears covering it, "I suppose that gives me time to come up with a way to make it up to him. I know he probably hates me now, but I can't stop trying to win him back."‬

‪Katsuki nodded, "We'll help you."‬

‪"I should let him come to me, right? Let him choose when he's ready to talk?"‬

‪"Yeah. I don't know what exactly you told Aizawa, but if it's bad enough for Kaminari to freak out this bad, he probably has a lot to think about before he'll be ready to talk to you."‬

‪Eijirou sighed, debating if he should tell Katsuki some of it so he'd better understand, "Um... Well..."‬

‪"Don't tell me. It upset him that you told Aizawa so it'll just upset him more if you tell me."‬

‪"I won't tell you details but.. Denki has trauma, like, PTSD level trauma. He needs to talk to someone about it. He needs to unpack it and process it so he can finally move on. So, I told Aizawa what happened in Denki's past. I told him everything Denki told me."‬

‪"If he needs help that badly then telling Aizawa was the best thing to do. I know Kaminari is clearly upset over it, but he'll come around, he always does. Friendship is the most important thing to him."‬

‪"But I'm not his friend, I'm his boyfriend. That's a higher standard."‬

‪Katsuki sighed, "Yeah, that's fair. But if he's dating you then he clearly cares about you. I've been paying attention to your whole touchy issue, how you can't be intimate 'n shit. I can see how much he's been trying for your sake. That has to mean something."‬

‪"Yeah, I guess so... He pushed himself very hard to get as far as he has with PDA. He, um," Eijirou smiled but still looked very sad, "He told me he loves me for the first time last night."‬

‪"There you have it. He doesn't hate you, he loves you. He just needs time."‬

‪Eijirou nodded, "Yeah... He loves me... He just needs time... I'll use that time to my advantage. I'm going to figure out the best way to make things better and apologize. I'm going to show him how much I love him. I love him so much. I'll do anything it takes to win him back."‬

‪Katsuki smiled, "There's the optimistic Shitty Hair I know. I was worried I lost ya for a minute there."‬

‪Eijirou chuckled, "I'm not going to be able to do this alone, but I want to do as much of it myself as possible."‬

‪"You do the work, I'll just be here to back you up."‬

‪"Perfect."‬

‪Katsuki was happy Eijirou wanted his help. He's so shit with words and can only express his feelings through actions. He finally had an opportunity to help his friends and show them how much he cares without fucking up with words. ‬

‪"We need a plan first," Katsuki said, "Got any ideas?"‬

‪Eijirou shook his head, "No, but I know someone who might."‬

‪"Let me guess. Ashido?"

‪"Yep."‬

‪Mina had her fair share of relationship experience. Don't get it wrong, she doesn't sleep around.‬ She's just so lovable that so many people want to be with her. She's given so many of them chances but it's never worked out. She knows what she's worth and kicks anyone who doesn't treat her with respect to the curb. She always tries to resolve things before resorting to that,‬ ‪but it's just not meant to be. So she's had her fair share of relationships and disputes. If anyone knows how to resolve an issue between boyfriends it's gonna be her.‬

‪"Maybe I can fix this," Eijirou's smile was a bit more authentic, "I have you guys to back me up."

‪Katsuki smiled back, "Of course you'll fix this with me behind you. If you fuck shit up I'll beat your ass and then we'll try again. Heroes never back down and we're fucking heroes, aren't we?"‬

‪"Yeah, you're right," Eijirou sat up a bit straighter.

‪Katsuki's words were prideful but Eijirou knew the feelings Katsuku had behind them. He always understood him in ways very few people could.‬

‪"We're heroes," Eijirou repeated,‬ ‪"I won't back down. I'll fix this no matter the cost. I'll win Denki back. I just need to give him the space he needs. I won't ever give up on him, I'll wait for him as long as it takes."‬

‪Eijirou smiled genuinely now. He had hope.‬
