Chapter Seven: Story telling I

(Lenz and Kevin in the living having snacks while reading Elaine's newly released book)

Kevin: I never thought she would end up being a writer. (Referring to Elaine) She never like this stuff when we were on high school. (Talking about writing)

Lenz: Mom said she started writing when you left.

Kevin: Really why? I didn't know that

Lenz: She said, after you left she was lonely in this house again. Besides her friend never visits her. So she started writing to get the boredom.

Kevin: (Silence for a minute) Well, thank God. She have you know. (SMILES AT LENZ) she'll never be lonely again.

Lenz: Yes! I promise papa to make mama happy when he's not around. (She puts a smile on her pretty face)

Kevin: (Realizes that Lenz resembles Jayson a lot. Especially her personality. ).... Yeah, she'll never be lonely for sure.

Lenz: How about you uncle? Mom told me you write before. You participated also in photography and writing competition. Can you tell me a story? Please......

Kevin: A story? That's all in the past now. I don't even know if I... (Interrupted)

Lenz: pleaseeeeee.......

Kevin: Okay, Let me think...I will tell you the Love story of Prince Kevin and Princess L.

Lenz: Woahh, both of them are future heir in the throne? And you even named the prince using your ... by the way should a prince marry a poor lady. I mean like in Cinderella, the prince chooses a normal girl.

Kevin: (LAUGH) Every love story is unique.

(Kevin story telling)

Kevin: Once upon a time, a prince fall in love at first sight. The prince and princess started as friends and then when they became close, he started courting her. Later on, they became a lover and they were really happy treasuring every time they spend together. All their friends, other princes and princesses from another kingdom supports them. Except for Prince Roby, Princess L's childhood friend and Prince Kevin's best friend. (Paused)

Lenz: Wow full of drama... What happen next?

-------------------------- KEVIN'S FLASH BACK WHEN HE WAS 18 YEARS OLD -------------------------

Gavin Smith: Kevin how are you and Leonor? Things are still good right? Make sure you will not breakup. Okay?

Kevin: Whatever your reason grandpa about keeping an eye on us and making sure that will be okay... It doesn't matter we love each other dearly. And it has nothing to do with your company.

Gavin Smith: I know (SERIOUS), and that means I don't need to make such effort ... I'm telling you this because I want to save the company your grandmother left us. Besides, Gabriel and I are not in a good terms. You are my future heir so It's up to you now to fix this family relationship with them. You got it? Ask her hand when you graduate in high school. No need for you to get married wait till you graduate in college.

Kevin: um....Does mom know this? About the company?

Gavin Smith: No. Will keep it between us for the meantime. You promise me not to tell anyone, okay? ( He hold his shoulder)

Kevin: Yes grandpa... (Low voice)

(As he left, he saw Elaine standing outside, he closed the door and walk down stairs ignoring her)

Elaine: So that's why you've been acting stupid lately?!

Kevin: Lower your voice, grandfather might hear you.

Elaine: And???You're not the Kevin I know. When are you planning to tell this stupid contract of yours to Leonor? If you dare hurt her feelings I'll make sure you'll regret this..

Kevin: Look whatever you heard, it's not a contract. My feelings for her are real. We've been together for a year now. I know you knew that better than anyone.

Elaine: Honestly? After hearing you and grandfather, I... (STARTING TO GET MAD) you didn't even tell him this has nothing to do with us! It's the companies problem not us!

Kevin: Not us?! (MAD) its grandma's company! Your father runs that company before! and you didn't even care?

Elaine: (CALM) I care Kevin, but this way of doing it.. seeing you right know... Your eyes, your temper and your facial expression. I'm starting to doubt if you ever loved her or you're just using her.

Kevin: I'm not using her! (TURNS AROUND)

------------- IN SCHOOL --------------

Robin: Hey guys, let's go in the convenience store and eat the new hamburger.

Leonor: Sorry I'll pass right for now, I need to go and meet Kevin.

Jayson: He didn't go to school again? It's been two days.

Leonor: Yeah, I'm worried so I'll go ahead.

Jayson: Hey Elaine, let's go get some hamburger.

Elaine: Sorry I need to go home early today.

Robin: Really? You've been acting both weird lately. Did something happen in your home.

Elaine: Something...Something... Who knows... bye

----------- KEVIN AND LEONOR WALKING IN THE PARK------------

Leonor: You alright? You seems to be out of focus this past few days.

Kevin: Really? (Hold her hand) I'm fine now I got you.

Leonor: You know you can always tell me if something's bothering you. Like old time. (SMILES AT HIM)

Kevin: Like old times?

Leonor: I kinda feel like you distant yourself a bit again in school. And you don't hangout anymore with Jayson and Robin. We went on circus last week you weren't there. I'm just...

Kevin: Hey... (SMILES AT HER) Nothings wrong. I'm not just feeling good , that's all. I'll go to school tomorrow so you don't need to worry that much.

------------ NEXT DAY----------------------

Jayson: Hey Kevin, you've been skipping classes. Here... get this I brought my notebook.

Robin: You alright this past few days?

Kevin: Yeah I'm fine. Thank you for this (referring to the notebook)

Elaine: Kevin let's throw the garbage at the back of the school.

Jayson: I can help! (EXCITED BECAUSE HE'LL BE LATE IN CLASS WHILE HAVING AN EXCUSE)

Elaine: it's okay we can manage.

(Jayson feel's disappointed. Elaine and Kevin head outside to throw the garbage meanwhile Robin follows them.)

Elaine: Did you tell Leonor about it already? Explain to her, so that she'll not be mad of you using her to save our damn company.

Kevin: I'm not using her. How many times do I have to tell you!

(Robin appears in the scene)

Robin: Using what? Leonor?
