(A/N this is kinda long and a bit rushed because I just really liked writing this but I also wrote a majority of this on my phone so if there's any errors I apologize lol. Hope you enjoy!)
--------------
Oliver starts dating Katie Bell when he promised you he'd go on a date just days before.
--------------
It was nighttime, all the houses were gathered in the Great Hall. As you walked in you were bothered by the scene of Oliver Wood and Katie Bell together, hand atop one another's laughing and staring into each others eyes. Walking past them, you sit in between Fred and George. Practically shoving George out of his seat.

"Someone's a bit angry," they said in unison.

"Piss off."

You couldn't help but keep your eyes on them, a disgusting sight it certainly was. I suppose Oliver caught you staring and waved, he looked a bit offended when you didn't wave back.

"Ohhh...this is about Wood isn't it?" Fred asked.

"Well, don't get your knickers in a twist all alone," George laughed, "tell us what happened."

You sighed, brushing loose hair behind your ears and slouching in your seat. "Oli is dating Katie Bell-"

"I thought that was a bit obvious Y/N..." one of the gingers by your side said, but you didn't care to notice which one.

"Obviously, but that's not it, if it were under any other circumstance I wouldn't be bothered but UGH!" Your loud declare of frustration had several eyes turn your way, to which you glared right back at.

"Ugh, women." The twins both said rolling their eyes, earning a playful slap on each of their arms.

"It's just, he knows I fancy him, he even asked me on a date around Hogsmeade just a few days ago."

The twins were about to say something before they were interrupted by the presence of another person. When they looked up it turned out to be none other than Oliver himself. The three of you scowled at him, receiving furrowed eyebrows and a confused look back.

"Hey Y/N, Fred, George." He said with a little wave of his hand.

None of you reciprocated the greeting, instead the twins coldly asked what business he had talking to us.

"Just being friendly...or is it a crime to be nice?" He joked.

"Nothing wrong with being friendly, but I can't help but notice that you and Katie Bell seem a bit...more friendly than usual," You said sarcastically.

The twins made their way out of the conversation knowing they didn't want to be around either of you when an argument erupted.

"Ah...so you've noticed. She's a nice one Katie, isn't she?" He asked but got no response. "What's wrong?" His scottish voice turned particularly soft, which it rarely did.

Storming off, you made your way outside of the Great Hall, Oliver trailing behind you. He finally caught up with you in the hallway and asked what was wrong.

"Y/N please! If I did anything to upset you I'm so sorry but please just let me know what I did, I dont understand!"

"I dunno, Oli, I just find it a bit odd that all of a sudden you have a girlfriend right after you promised me a date," you sighed as you rolled your eyes.

His eyes sunk down, then he realized. "Well I- Y/N wait!" He grabbed onto your robe as you tried to storm off once again.

Oliver looked up at you, guilt flooded his conscience once he saw the glossy look in your eyes. He gingerly laid his hand on your cheek, "Y/N I know it was wrong of me to start dating Katie Bell and you have every right to be angry at me or even feel betrayed but believe me, I never intended to hurt you, I kind of just...forgot."

'Forgot?! How could you just forget about something like that?' you said in your head.

You swatted his hand away and speed-walked to the dormitory, he followed you all the way there, bumping into several people along the way. He pleaded "I'm sorry Y/N!" and "Please forgive me," over and over. A part of you liked that he chased after you but at the same time you just needed to get away from everyone, especially him. By the time you reached the common room you'd wiped so many tears away that the sleeves on your robe felt damp. As you reached the common room, about to head up the stairs, he grabbed you by your arm once again.

"Y/N please," he looked at you in a way that he's never looked at you before. Guilt flooded his eyes and you saw right through it. His eyes looked kind and genuinely sorry- but you couldn't. You tried to walk away but he wouldn't let go.

"Let go of me, Oliver." You said in a shakey voice.

You almost never called him Oliver, always Oli or Wood. He took this as a sign to finally leave you alone. As you went up the stairs to your dorm he croaked "I truly am sorry." You leave him with no response and go onto enter your dorm, which was luckily empty.

You lock the door behind you and break down on the floor against the frame. Whoever was near your dorm probably heard you crying but you didn't care. You had your head in your hands, tears trickling down your palms. After a few minutes you finally composed yourself and brought yourself to finally stand up, unlocking the door just incase one of your dorm mates came in. You got changed into pajamas, breathy thin-cloth pants and a jumper. You opened the window to let a slight breeze in and to your surprise, a messenger owl flew in seconds after. A piece of parchment between its beak with your name on it. It read:

'Dear Y/N,
I don't know how many times I'll have to say it until you forgive me but I truly am sorry. My intention was never to hurt you and it pains me that I did. I promised you a date in Hogsmeade and you deserved just that. No more worrying about me and Katie,  I called it quits with her by the way. I couldn't stand being with someone who wasn't you. I knew it felt wrong but it felt wrong to say no as well, I didn't want to hurt her feelings. But now I realize I shouldn't have spared her feelings for yours and I apologize. If you could just give me another chance I promise I'll make it up this time.
                            Love,
                                      Oli'

You held the parchment close to your heart, literally. Looking back at the letter you saw a few tear drops that stained the parchment, his writing was messier than usual and ink was smudged in different areas. He really did rush to let you know how sorry he was. Although you would've liked to stay in your dorm and mope around you just couldn't. You ran down the stairs and up the other, reaching Oliver's door. Giving a few soft but urgent knocks on the wood in front of you. Sniffles were heard and a bit of clatter as he stumbled to open the door. His eyes were puffy and red like he'd been crying, the wet stains on his t-shirt confirming it. Quickly, he wiped them away and looked down at you.

  "I'm sorry." He whispered softly.

You quickly took him into a hug whispering "It's alright," back as you smiled into the hug.

He softly brushed his hand up and down your back, breaking the embrace he looked back down at you and took your cheek in his right hand. His calloused fingertips grazed your soft skin. He leaned in closer and closer, slowly placing a kiss on your lips. It was a quick kiss but still enjoyable nonetheless. His soft lips parted against yours as he exhaled into a smile. The two of you laughed and stared into each others eyes. His brown eyes meeting yours, it was perfect. Until-

"Get a room!" Fred and George scoffed.

The two of you laughed and entered Oli's dorm, cuddling once you met his bed.
