*Harry's POV*

"Now, students. Today, we will be learning a new charm that you will be working in pairs to do. This charm is very important to be done correctly because one wrong mispronounced word or wand wave and you and your partner will..." I zoned out while Professor Flitwick explained the new charm we would be practicing.

I found myself looking over at Malfoy. Dumb Malfoy. With his stupid hair, and his stupid broom, and his stupid gorgeous gray eyes, and those beautiful, kissable lips. I bet he looked good shirtless...wait, what? I could feel myself going red, thankful Ron and Hermione weren't there to see while I mentally scolded myself. Since when did I think Malfoy was hot?

Truth was, since first year. Every time during dinner, I'd find myself glancing over at him. I always told myself it was always to make sure he wasn't planning anything. But that's a lie I tell myself to avoid the thought that I'm crushing on him.

I was forced to come back to reality when I heard my name being called. "...you will be with Mr Potter" I blinked, eyes focusing again and looked at Professor Flitwick.

"Yes, professor?" I asked, confused. He sighed and Parkinson, who was sitting in front of me turned to face me smugly.

"Honestly, Potter. Professor Flitwick has paired you with Draco to practice the charm."

I groaned and looked at Professor Flitwick pleadingly. "Anybody but Malfoy! Please, Professor." He shook his head.

"5 points from Gryffindor for not paying attention. I'm sorry, Mr Potter, but everybody else already has a pair. Perhaps this way you'll learn to pay attention in my classes in the future." He raised an eyebrow at me and I rolled my eyes. I scanned the classroom for a platinum-blonde head again and went to sit next to it as everybody went to find their partners.

He seemed even less thrilled at this than I was. "Okay. Now remember. Swish and flick while saying Ligatis manibus." (A\N Yes, I really just went to google translate, made up a spell and put it in Latin.) We both stood up and raised our wands. I didn't even know where to point my wand so I just pointed it at Draco. "Ligatis manibus!" I felt a strong force that pulled me toward Draco and our heads bashed together, knocking us out.

*Draco's POV*

"Kids, let them breathe. Miss Parkinson, Mr Zabini! Give the boys some space!" I opened my eyes slowly and some kids muttered. I looked around and we were still in the charms classroom. I was trying to get up but something was pulling at my right arm. I looked down to my right and Potter was lying on the floor next to me. There was a golden ring floating around both of our arms and I tried pulling but it wouldn't budge.

I sat up and looked around at all of the curious faces around us and Pansy and Blaise ran to me. "Dray! Are you okay?! Does your head hurt?" Pansy asked concernedly, hugging me while Blaise was next to her. I shook my head.

"Mate, you gave us quite the scare. Seems like Potter wasn't paying attention and the spell went wrong and you knocked yourselves out. Then this weird golden ring showed up around your arms." Blaise explained.

I glared at Potter as he opened his eyes and sat up too, confusedly gazing at the thing connecting our hands. "Professor, what happened?" he asked, looking at me and wincing in disgust. "And why is my arm connected to Malfoy's?"

Professor Flitwick looked at the both of us. "Well, Mr Potter, it seems you weren't paying attention and the charm backfired. I'm sorry to say this, but I've tried everything I can to break this bind and nothing seems to be working. You'll have to stay like that until we find a solution."

I couldn't believe it. Having to be connected to Potter. Indefinitely. "My father will hear about this!" I said, getting up and pulling Potter with me.

"Don't be afraid to rip off my arm, dumbass." He said, glaring at me and I rolled my eyes.

"How is this even going to work? Half of our classes we don't even have together!" I complained and Flitwick sighed.

"We'll have to see. Come on. We'll go see your head of houses. Everybody else, head to your next class!"

We both groaned and trudged out of the classroom with the rest of the students. Pansy and Blaise looked at me hopefully and I sighed and shrugged, following Flitwick.
