Truths I was able to hide
Countless times I've tried-
The way you'd meet me in the eye
That never goes out of style
Your lips curve into a smile
Speaking of an unspoken language
Of understanding
In the midst of confusing feelings
From your heart to mine
Falling out of line
And I can't seem to stop from rewinding
The good times of everything
Back from the moment
When we first met
No regrets but I wanted to forget
But I can never seem to undo
The way I felt and
The way I seem to always do
And that is to love you
Even in distance and silence
In months to years in patience
But I know that leaving me hanging
Has left an understanding
Of another chapter
Has finally met its ending.
