[12:16 am]

The days had faded into weeks,
weeks into months,
months into the year.
You had bid all 7 of the demon brothers farewell,
along with the Prince and His Loyal Servant,
the 2 angels and that mischievous sorcerer.
Home.
Or so you were meant to be home.

The 4 walls that you had felt so secure in before,
holding thousands of memories within,
where you had been living for a couple years now.
It wasn't familiar anymore.
Time hadn't stopped,
the incense was still burning,
wafting its vanilla and cinnamon smell through the empty atmosphere.
Your flowers,
the ones your mother gifted you not too long ago,
still stood tall and proud in their crystal vase.
Yet you felt nothing as you looked around your living room and down the hall,
towards your bedroom.
That wasn't your bedroom anymore.

And time passed on as it did before,
days turning to weeks,
weeks to months.
There hadn't been a night in which you hadn't clutched your pillow tightly to your chest,
burying your face in it's fluffiness and sobbing your heart out,
dampening the fabric.
You missed everyone:
you missed your home.

You missed the sounds of Mammon running down the hall desperate to escape Lucifer's wrath,
the clicking of Levi's controller as he focused diligently on his game,
the small and delicate sounds of Satan flipping a page in his book,
you missed how you,
Beel and Belphie would go on daily midnight fridge raids,
you missed clowning and joking with Solomon whenever he visited,
and how confused Simeon and Luke would be whenever you two cracked up at some silly reference.
Asmodeus could always be heard screeching from his room whenever something,
a bag or limited addition makeup palette,
went suddenly missing,
for him to then chase Mammon around with a pillow as he ran for his life,
screaming and shouting.
You missed how Satan would make snarky remarks towards Lucifer,
only for him to strike back harder,
causing you to hold back and muffle a laugh,
as did everyone else at the table.
Mammon could always be heard flipping or messing around with a coin on a surface,
any surface at that,
he would always cuddle you in your bed as you slept together.
But now he couldn't do that:
he was gone.

As was everyone else.
This place that was once home,
isn't home now,
it cannot compare to the 7 brothers and their chaotic household,
the one you grew to love,
not even in the slightest bit.
Teary-eyed, shaking and distraught,
you lifted your head from the pillow,
breath shaky.
What you would do to see the 7 brothers,
to be in their home even just once more,
and to make it your own.
