Simon POV

"Just then, a gunmens big mitts came at me. Yeah, the Mighty Kamina was in a tight spot. But what saved me was my blood brothers Y/N and Simon in Lagann. Thank you my friend, my brother!" Kamina said as he told the story to the other soldiers

I was in Lagann reflecting on everything when a familiar voice said, "So how come the other hero's looking so distant"

I turned to see Yoko standing in front of me, and for the first time since we've met, I got a good long look at her and felt my cheeks warm up. "Nah I'm no" I responded

"Hey...you think he's ok" Yoko asked me while looking at Kamina

"You mean bro?" I ask

"Yeah. All he wanted to do was come to the surface and be reunited with his father. But instead he finds out he's been dead all this time and that should've come as a shock so why's he pretending not to care" she asked

"I don't think that's it. It's not just about seeing his dad again. Ya see, he's hated himself for not going with him when he was a kid. But now he's a man and he can go. That's why he wanted to see him" I explain

"Hmm. Doesn't that mean he still wanted to be with his dad" she asked

"No it's different. It's totally different" I respond, "I think"

"I'm having a hard time understanding" she says

"Sorry but it's not easy to put into words" I say

"Sure. Thanks anyway" she says waving as she walked away, "I really hope he's ok. Sorry for asking such strange questions"

Y/N POV

"This turned out great bro" I say gawking at Gurrens new design

"Yup. They combined all 3 of the gunmen to make this badboy" Kamina explained sounding very proud

"Hey what's with that Logo on your back" Yoko asks walking towards us

"That's the logo for Team Gurren baby" he responded

"Hm. So anyway imma go hunting for a bit. Wanna come along" she asked

"What if more gunmen show up while we're gone" Kamina asked

"Eh not likely. They only show up in the morning" Yoko explained

"Yeah, what's with that?" Kamina asked

"They seem to have a set of rules they operate by and we need to get food and water so we go while there's no fighting going on. Sooo, think you could give me a lift?" She asked

"Yeah sure" Kamina said, Yokos face lighting up with excitement

"Simon, come on" He continued, Yokos face losing all excitement

"Me? You want me to go? Are you sure?" Simon asked

"Yeah I guess" Yoko said looking very disappointed

"What about you Y/N" Kamina asked

"Imma hang back with Leyte and work on Rikettsu. The sooner we get him up and running, the sooner we can take down those beastmen bastards" I say clenching my fist

"That's the spirit" Kamina said

"Hold down the fort for us, ok Y/N" Yoko said

I shot back a thumbs up and walked back into the shop with Leyte

We went to go hunt by a nearby swampy marsh area

"Ok. So let me get this straight. Are all those weapons from your village?" I ask trying to make conversation as Yoko snipes prey from a nearby ledge
