Camilla stretched her arms up as she let out a loud yawn, opening her eyes slowly. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand to clear her blurry vision, but it only resulted in making her eyes blurrier. She dragged herself down from the bed and sat at the edge of the bed for a few seconds, before finally getting up and heading for the bathroom. She took a long shower, after which she dressed up as tardily as I could.

She was anxious and restless, but she knew she had to do this. She wasn't gonna fail, she was leaving here and this entire life behind. She wanted to start anew. A fresh good start, with the little money her mom had left her in a bank account only she was aware of. It was one of the few things her mom wrote in the little diary she endeared. It felt like she knew she had very little time left and decided to leave the diary behind as a book of wishes and memories she knew Camilla wouldn't remember.

The door to her room opened slowly, and a maid walked into the room, holding a tray in between her hands. She was short, with beautiful tan skin, black French plaited hair, brown eyes and a timid aura. She gave Camilla a shy smile, which she returned with a nod and a smile. She sat down on the bed and placed the tray between them.

       "Hi." She greeted nervously.

     "Hi." Camilla replied.

"I'm Gabriella." The girl said. Her nervousness was entrenched in her every words.

"I'm Camilla. Nice meeting you. Gabriella." Camilla replied, smiling, hoping it'll ease the girl's timidness, which it did.

Gabriella let out a loud breath, straightening her clothes and easing her stiff posture.

"So, when are you gonna start working?" She asked.

"Well, I have the week off." Camilla replied.

"Wow. That's nice. I get days off too, but there's always nothing to do, so I always just come back here and work, I work maybe twice as much as everyone in here and I don't even have any friends here, so when I heard there was a new girl, I planned on getting to know her, which is why I opted to bring you breakfast. Most of the girls are always bitchy, especially to me, don't get me wrong though . . . I'm not saying you've been a bitch. I mean, you've been nice actually, unlike all the asses crawling around here and the jackass men. The only thing nice about being here is the food, but you gotta stay away from the pork chops and the meat pie....the food here is nice, but the pork chops and meat pie . . . hell no! I mean big hell no . . . "

Camilla stared at the rambling girl with her mouth slightly opened as she rambled on like a programmed bot, ".....and the Alpha, total ugh.." Gabriella rolled her eyes, then she continued " . . . I mean, he's hot, like . . . totally, but he won't even spare you a glance, I give him my best smile every time, but he doesn't even smile back . . . and then . . . " She paused as she saw the look on Camilla's face. Like a puppy lost in Times square. "Uhm . . . I'm sorry, am I talking too much?" She asked, looking at Camilla. Camilla blinked to pull myself out of the trance Gabriella's rantings encaged her in.

"You were saying?" Camilla asked her, widening her eyes.

"I probably did talk too much." She said.

    "Hmm . . . no . . . it's fine, actually. I mean . . . it was really nice meeting you, Gabriella."

"Nice meeting you too. Camilla. My room is just beside yours, you should eat your breakfast before it gets cold." Gabriella said, standing up, then she sent Camilla a smile.

"I'm sure it's cold already. But it's summer, so doesn't matter, the heat does enough already." Camilla said, forcing out a chuckle.

"See you later, Camilla. Bye." She waved and left the room.
