"Hey!'' Lucas called out, his pace decreasing as he got closer to the two women walking down the silent and void hallway.

Camilla and Olivia halted in their steps and turned around to get a view of their caller. As soon as Camilla saw him, sadness washed over her, or was it anger. Camilla stood with her hands folded beneath her thigh as Lucas panted heavily in front of her, even though he was trying hard not to.

"Yes?'' Camilla said, staring straight into his eyes, with an unwelcoming posture.

"What's your name? I didn't catch it earlier at the meeting. My mind was preoccupied.'' Lucas asked the girl beside Camilla, still searching for what to say to Camilla, because he had no idea whatsoever. The only thing his filthy brain seemed to come up with was how much he wanted her in his bed, running his hands down her body and every other things he didn't dare imagine. He didn't plan for this, and fuck him for taking dumb-Carter's advice, now he was fucking stranded.

"I'm Olivia, and I take it you are Lucas.'' Olivia gave him a smile.

"Yeah. . . I am.'' Lucas turned to Camilla. "Can I talk to you? Alone.''

"Hmm. Okay.'' Camilla turned her head to Olivia, then she gave her a nod. Olivia nodded back and walked down the hallway.

"So?'' Camilla raised her eyebrows, jutting her chin up slightly.

"Uhm. . .yeah. . .so how are you doing?'' He stuttered, failing at subduing his jittery feeling.

"I'm good, thanks for asking.'' She replied.

After a few moment of silence and awkward staring, Camilla spread her hand questionably, but Lucas was entranced with thoughts of her. He was lost in her blue eyes, immersed, completely.

"Is that all?'' Camilla broke the silence, pulling Lucas out of his daydream.

"Yeah. . .No. . .I just wanted to know how you were doing, it's been a while I last saw you.'' He cocked his head to the side momentarily.

      "And why do you care?''

      Her question fuddled him.

     "Well, I. . . it's, you're my. . . you know, mate. . . so. . .'' He stuttered as he trailed off.

Camilla chuckled, then she turned her gaze to the floor. There was a time when she would have died to hear him say that, a time when a look from him turned her into mush, but things were completely different now. But time changes everything. The girl that felt that way was no longer her, that part of her was dead. Forever.

      "What's- -funny?''

"Nothing. Just a thought.'' She replied honestly. "And about that. . .I don't know how to tell you this, but we. . .we aren't together anymore.'' Camilla couldn't meet his gaze because she didn't want him to see how hard and how hurt she was from saying that.

"What do you mean?'' Lucas asked, confused.

"I'll lay it out for the benefit of the both of us.'' Camilla said, then with a newfound courage she dared to stare into those cruel, but beautiful green eyes.  "My dad, he-he found out we were mates. . . so he. . .he had a witch cut off our bond.'' The last part came out with an exhale of breath.

"What, what do you mean?'' Lucas was more confused now, and frightened.

"It's simple. I don't know how he found out, considering it was a secret I wasn't allowed to reveal.'' She said accusingly and Lucas's face fell, his gaze focused on a paint stained tile, among the many white ones.
