^Lucas carried Camilla in his arms, the tingling sensation and sparks he felt from their bodily contact was indescribable as he sped out of the hall with her unconscious body bouncing in his arms as he headed for the car. Riley and Carter ran ahead of him, starting up the car before he got there. He laid her on the back seat and hopped into the car beside her, with his heart racing.

"Riley, you need to stay at the feast, okay?" Lucas said, facing a worried looking Riley, who nodded her head tersely to his words.

He was about to tell Carter to drive off, but he did already, speeding down the road and taking the memorized turns till they arrived in front of the pack hospital. Two nurses were waiting in front of the hospital with a stretcher, as Lucas carried Camilla's limp body and placed her on the stretcher, then the nurse placed a ventilator on her nose. Lucas trotted behind the nurses as they pushed the stretcher into the hospital and straight to the emergency ward. He was glad she wasn't in pain, he would have felt it through the bond, but he would prefer the pain to the emptiness he felt and his mind was disheveled.

Lucas ran a hand through his hair, as Carter sprung in through the door.

"Where is she?" Carter asked, panting slightly.

"They took her into the emergency ward." Lucas replied, turning his head away from Carter.

"Okay. She was still breathing when you took her out of the car right?" Carter asked, taking a seat on a three sitter chair in the hallway.

"I think so." Lucas replied, taking a seat beside him.

"Good. It's probably just stress or a bad flu, it's definitely nothing serious." Carter replied, letting out a loud yawn. His words did nothing to calm Lucas wrung nerves, but his wolf was angry at something he hasn't quite figured out, maybe it was his coziness with Stephanie earlier that's roused him up.

Lucas stared at the white tiles of the hospital floor as nurses and people walked through the hallways. He rested his head on the wall, closing his eyes dreamily. The sound of feet running through the hallway made him open his eyes. A bloodied patient was being brought in on a stretcher as the nurse pushed him down and around the corner, where Lucas gaze couldn't follow.

Lucas arched his back to tie his shoe lace that had loosened while he was running earlier, then he saw a necklace, hooked to his shoe lace. It had a pendant on it that looked like two crescent moons kissing each other, it also looked old, but it was classy. Lucas unclasped it from his shoe laces and tucked it into his pocket.

"Tell you what, man, I'm relieved we've got this feast and merge nonsense over with." Carter said, staring straight at the empty blue chair opposite them

Lucas looked at him, then he sat back up after he was done with the lace.

"I feel the same man, but we both know the real challenges are still ahead. We've still got a lot of things to figure out." Lucas said.

"Yeah, I know, but we'll figure it out. Like we always do." Carter replied, smiling.

"Yeah, but there's something we need to do tomorrow, possibly in the early hours of the day." Lucas said.

Carter raised his brows. "And what's that?" He asked, turning to face Lucas slightly.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten . . . " Lucas stared at him for a moment, but Carter still looked clueless "The land between the packs we have to purge of rouges." Lucas said.

"Yeah, sorry, skipped me . . . totally." Carter replied, waving his palm up from his lap

"Well, you still up for it?" Lucas asked.
