Chapter 8
Layla laid in the hospital bed for 2 weeks, she felt so isolated from the world. Her wolf was craving for the wind in her fur and the mud under her claws. Even though it sounds disgusting she didn’t care because she loved the feeling of security sand freedom when she was in her wolf form. She hardly ever turned in wolf form when she was angry or every wanted to fight. She would only transform into a wolf when she wanted to play with the butterflies and wanted to enjoy life. Mainly when she wanted to relish her natural form, and feel part of her coming to life, her wolf.
She really wanted to transform but the doctor had told her to let her body rest for a while until she felt better and stronger.
She did but that was because of the medicine she was given without the medicine given to soothe and calm her pain she would be dead before she knew it.
“Knock knock” a very cheery voice came from behind the door. Layla blushed when she heard the male student doctor walked through the wooden doors.
Even though Layla felt guilty for liking her new student doctor, more like friend, but she couldn’t help it he was cheery, a very respectful young man, even though he had the cocky aura around him. but he would never act cocky in front of Layla always so .
“Leon” she said softly.
He stared at Layla or a while before snapping out of his daze and approaching her with some food.
“Here” he urged her to eat.
Layla so badly wanted to push the tray of food away but seeing as he brought her some out of kindness she couldn’t reject it and turn it away. It would be so rude.
Leon knew Layla’s body would throw it up and it would make her seem to full to eat a little bite, but he knew if he made her use to the food and made her accept it, the process of feeding her would be easy. She needed the calcium, vitamin and energy in her body.
“Thank you” she said, before grabbing the bottle of water with her salad and chicken meal.
Leon watched her eat, it sounded creepy but he didn’t care. He may just be a human and knew how much this must have taken her by surprise. He knew all about wolfs. He knew they were stronger then humans, he knew they could manage themselves even if they were ill, but he also knew Layla was the only werewolf patient he had known to have cancer. It was odd but he now knew even werewolves could die from cancer.
He had known Layla since the day that the main doctor that had given Layla the news had appointed him to her. When he first entered the room all he could see was this beautiful girl sleeping. He had just watched standing at the entrance until he had heard her whimp in her dream making him jump out of his daydreaming. Then he heard the most heart wrenching feeling when he heard her scream in her dream.
He had gone back into his doctor demure and went by her side easing her pain. He remembered holding her hands throughout the whole procedure, he knew how unprofessional it was but he didn’t care, she was in great pain.
Well that had been the start of their friendship or maybe their crush for one another.
“So how long do you think i will be in here for?” she asked softly nibbling on her salad.
“You want to go home.” He faked a frown, which made her giggle at his personality “i get it Layla you never want to see my sexy face again” he stopped looking at Layla who just stared back at him.
He had never made any remarks or even act cocky in front of her. It was his first time and he knew how awkward it must before her. She wasn’t the type of girl to be in a short relationship or even be with someone in that sense. She was very loyal to her mate; it had looked like to him.
