The soft pattering of feet running across green grass on a sunny day, along with the laughter of children, could be heard. Along with that came the sounds of birdsong and the soft rustling of leaves.

Paperjam and Gradient continued to sprint across the grassy fields of Underswap, soon flopping down on their backs onto the green grass, arms and legs spread out, enjoying the weather. They continued to share a few childish giggles as they laid only a few feet apart. It has been a while since they've been able to venture into an alternate universe.

Not too far away was everyone else, near the shade of a tall oak tree.

Dream was spreading out a red and white checkered picnic blanket while Blueberry held a woven basket. Underneath some of the shade was a cooler Ink and Error had brought. The couple kept a close eye on their kids from afar. Their kids only proved that they couldn't turn their backs on them. Besides, only mothers had eyes in the back of their heads.

It had been Blueberry's idea for them all to spend time together via picnic, which is why they had set up in Underswap. The hope was that it would be a nice break from usual work and other issues. Thus far, it seemed to be going well.

Presently, Error opened the blue and white cooler, checking to make sure everything that was supposed to be in there was since Ink had packed it. He knew he should have checked earlier, but arriving on time with Paperjam and Gradient had turned out to be a nightmare.

The destroyer's eyes widened in surprise at what was missing.

"Hey, Ink?" He asked.

This brought to creator out of his conversation with Dream as they worked to straighten the large blanket. He glanced over at his Husband.

"Yeah?"

"Did you forget the ice?"

"What..?" Ink questioned, not sure if he had heard the other right, eye lights changing to a yellow question mark and orange circle.

"The ice." Error huffed in reply.

He stood up from where he was crouched down to peak inside the cooler, turning around to face the other.

"There's no ice to keep the drinks cold." He pointed a thumb back at the cooler.

Ink blinked, eye lights becoming a green swirl and blue paint splotch. A nervous smile came to his face.

"Oooh..." He mused. "That's kinda important."

"You think?!" Error exclaimed.

Dream tried to hold in a laugh as he listened to the conversation. Meanwhile, Blueberry couldn't help but smirk as he watched from afar.

"No problem." Ink stated, setting down his edge of the blanket. "I'll just take my trusty Broomy and-"

He grabbed nothing but air as he reached for it, instantly remembering that it wasn't there. His confident expression faded into a more nervous one.

"Whoops— kinda forgot about that too..." The creator mused. "Sorry."

Error let out a quiet sigh, lifting up his right arm to summon a small glitched portal, it being just big enough to squeeze his hand into. Reaching inside he shifted it around, glancing over to help in his search. That's when he flinched at the feeling of a bone attack scraping his hand from inside the portal.

The destroyer yanked his hand out quickly, turning to look and glare into the portal to see the skeleton he often stole from. His glare became worse when the said skeleton pointed a specific finger his direction. Error retuned the favor, sticking his middle finger up at the skeleton as well. The only problem was that everyone around him saw his hand too.
