ricky arrived at gina's house late and she opened the door with a smile
"hey!"
"you seem cheery." he laughs as he walks inside
"i just made a hat from a tutorial on-"
"youtube." he finishes
she laughs and gives it to him "it's really bad."
ricky smirks and puts it on his head, though it falls over his eyes
gina stifles a laugh and nods "okay that is so big!"
"people can grow into it!" he says
gina shakes her head "do you want to get ice cream?"
ricky nods "sure why not."
the two leave her house and she starts talking about the dance routine she had planned for her rehearsals
"-but then bethany couldn't do the freaking star lift and now we have to find a girl who's not afraid of heights." she finishes
"mhm." he nods as he kicks a pebble
gina looks at him. he's been humming ever since they left the house
"and jack came back from the dead in titanic." she says
"that can happen." he nods
she sighs "i'm pregnant."
"wait what?!" he exclaims, snapping himself out of his thoughts
gina bursts out laughing and points at him "y-you should have s-seen your face!"
ricky sighs in relief and shakes his head "that was cruel."
"well you weren't listening dude! what can you possibly have in that head of yours? it's been empty for years."
ricky playfully shoves her and she laughs
"i had an argument with nini today." he says
gina stops laughing and they stop walking
"are you okay?" she asks him
the boy nods "i mean, as okay as i can be. she just kept saying about how it wasn't her choice to leave like that-"
"i don't really think it was her choice ricky." she says as they continue walking
"yeah but, why didn't she try and contact me? three years of silence gi. three years of her not bothering to try and find me." he replies shaking his head "i'm mad and upset because she didn't try. she didn't want to find me."
gina nods in understanding "i'm sorry ricky."

nini helps her moms load the dishwasher as they just finished their dinner
"how about some dessert?" carol smiles
"yes!" nini exclaims with a sigh
the two women laugh
"ice cream?" dana suggests
"i'll go get it." carol says as she takes her keys
"oh i can go." nini smiles
"really honey? don't you want to stay home?"
nini shakes her head "i can get them."
dana and carol nod before nini takes her bag and walks out of the house to the ice cream parlor
she hears her phone ring and sees that it's abby calling her
"hey abby." nini chimes
"how's it going over there?" abby laughs
