monday arrived and nini wasn't mentally prepared to face the hallway stares and whispers

when she arrives to school, she sees people doing the usual staring and chattering about her, but she ignores them and heads straight inside to her locker where her friends were waiting for her

the girl shakes her head and turns his phone off
"hey!" he laughs
"never read all of the comments." she says "there are some that will stand out and it's usually the bad ones."
ricky smirks "i didn't get any for your information."
everyone groans and nini giggles, shaking her head "you should also turn your phones off from time to time. all of the notifications can cause your phone to crash-"
"already ahead of you." carlos sighs sadly
everyone laughs before the bell rings and nini watches as gina and ricky walk off to their class together.
"you coming?" kourtney asks, snapping her out of her thoughts
nini nods "uh-yeah. yeah let's go."
the first two lessons went by slowly, nini kept herself focused on her work because she was determined to not let ej caswell ruin her normal-life experience.
when lunch arrived, nini sat down at the cafeteria table and got a text from abby

"oh my god!!!" nini screams, earning more stares from everyone, but she honestly didn't care. her excitement was too high
"are you okay?!" "what's wrong?" "did something happen?"
nini laughs at all of the concern looks from her friends and shakes her head
"i get to do a concert singing the song i sent to abby and if it goes well, it could be nominated for the billboards!!" nini squeals
everyone's jaw drops and they congratulate her with happiness before she turns to ricky with a smirk
"what?" he asks confused
"well, that's not all the news i got..." she trails off, showing him the phone

"the song he posted on his instagram got a lot of views and likes that my manager might want to sign him and the producers will want to record his song." nini explains with a giddy smile
everyone shrieks in excitement and nini laughs
"i can't believe it!" ricky breathes
"i can! that song is amazing ricky!" nini smiles
ricky looks down at his food and thanks her, trying to not allow his cheeks to turn red
after school, nini walked down the empty halls after spending a few hours in the music room.
she was humming ricky's song that's been stuck in her head after listening to it over and over again until she felt someone grab her arm, pulling her into the janitor's closet
