Kiwi

After Vega had finally left and beck and jade had pulled apart jade leaned in to kiss again but beck stopped her

"You wanna break up again?" Jade questioned widening her eyes

"No I just got you back, I don't want to lose you again" he stared into her eye intently "but I do need to go meet my dad at the hospital like I promised him I would"

"Oh come on beck your dad can wait" she pouted

"well not really cause he did just get mauled by a random Rottweiler"

"I guess but can I at least come with you?"

"Ehhh maybe not such a good idea he's probably not up for visitors yet" beck suggested very gently "go wait in the silver streak, I'll be back in 30"

Jade didn't reply she just stomped into the RV and slammed the door. Beck just chuckled to himself while he got in to his car

" you're late" jade scowled as beck walked back in 40 minutes later

"No I'm not" beck tried to defend. He knew she was right but tried to avoid it

Jade didn't respond she just held up her black pear phone which had a timer running that read 41 minutes 23.78 seconds

"I can't believe you blew off your own girlfriend for your dad" she started

"Babe he has broken rib and his arm is all bloody"

"So?!"

"Sooo that means I have to go visit him" he replied giving her a kiss and sitting down next to her to start a movie to diffuse the argument that was about to star

"Why are you staring at me" jade interrogated after she felt him watching her while she watched the movie for the last 5 minutes

"Why did you lie to me the other day" he questioned calmly as he paused the movie

"I didn't lie, when did I lie?!" She defended "and why did you turn it off her eyes were about to be gauged out"

"Yeah you did. When I asked you what your favourite tropical fruit is you said a mango. I'm not mad I just wanna know why?"

"Cause I wanted to stay on topic but you kept going off so I answered quickly and I didn't think!"

"Then what really is your favorite tropical fruit?"

"A kiwi you know that beck"

"Why?"

She glared at him for a moment

"Just cause Which reminds me, do you have any right now?" She asked as she pushed herself off the couch and started towards the small mini fridge he had recently installed

Beck didn't respond so jade opened it and about 20 apples of different colours came tumbling out

"Ok why do you have a million apples?"

"Cause they're my favorite fruit" he replied while Turing the movie back on

"Why?"

"Why is a kiwi yours?" He asked grinning cheekily

"You're unbelievable."

"Also I don't have kiwis cause I've never tried one" he shrugged

Jade whipped around to face him

"You've never tried a kiwi? Like, ever?"

"Nope"

Jade grabbed his hand and tugged him up off the couch and out of the RV towards his car

"Where we going?" He asked
"To the store so you can try a kiwi"
"Babe it's 11! What store is open?"
"We'll find somewhere"

They eventually found a slightly sketchy all night grocer but the whole drive over beck could hear jade muttering things under her breath

"Never tried a stupid kiwi, who's never had a kiwi before? Probably cause he's Canadian all they eat is apples and syrup "

Once they had parked and were in the store jade went to the produce section and took beck with her to find the desired fruit

"Here's a kiwi. Beck meet kiwi. Kiwi meet beck my Stupid Canadian boyfriend that's never tried one of you or your family members" she said holding it out in front of his face and talking to him like a first grader

"I know what one is I've just eaten one yknow?" He tried to explain

"Just go buy them" jade said after grabbing four more

Once they were back at the RV it was almost midnight but jade still insisted he try one right then and there, so she took one out of the bag and cut in then threw it in a bowl and presented it to beck who was sitting comfortably on his couch

"It looks like the boogeyman" beck stated looking up at jade after staring at it for a bit

"Don't be childish just try some"

Beck hesitantly picked up a little fruit cube and popped it in his mouth.

"Weird texture" he said wrinkling his nose a bit "it tastes like you"

"Pardon?!"

"It's all sour and bitter. But also all soft" he added smirking grabbing her to sit with him so he could kiss her

"That's why it's my favorite fruit" she said after finally pulling away

Well that was interesting. I had zero ideas but I was given the suggestion kiwi so I rolled with it and here it is. I hope you like the "fluff"(is there even any?) anyways
