After seven long years of dating beck knew he was ready to spend the rest of his life with her. After everything they had been through together- every fight, every breakup, every bad day, every sleepless night. They had made it through all of that and ended up together in the end so they were truly meant for each other if they could with stand everything life had thrown their way so far he knew they'd be fine in the future.

He was 22 and she was 21 almost 22 so they were a bit on the young side but they had been together for so long it felt like they were already married since they moved in together right after high school but they both still felt so ready

The day he decided he was ready he left jade at their house and went out to a jeweller to buy the perfect engagement ring. When he stepped into the store the eager sales clerk could already tell he was dripping with cash- which he was. He had acted in tons more movies and TV series and Jade had done a couple movies but more music than anything.

"Hiya handsome what can I help you find today" the young sales lady asked flirtatiously playing with her hair

He tried not to make direst eye contact and looked at the rings in the display case instead "I need an engagement ring" he stated, hoping she would drop the act

Her smile faltered and her voice was less high and flirty "ok what kind of engagement ring are you looking for" she asked flatly

"Actually is it ok if I just look by myself and if I need help I'll get some later?"

"Fine. Whatever"

He looked at the long display case examining each and every one of them one by one because he knew it would really have to be perfect for jade else there's a chance she would say no(crazy as that sounds). The first ten he looked at were definitely too big and bulky so they wouldn't work. The next few were all coloured gems which he really considered since it wasn't predictable and she did look good with the colour green but then opted against it when he saw the last ring. It was a sturdy gold band that was flat on top and on top had two small white diamonds on either side of a larger black diamond

It was the perfect ring for the perfect girl

He bought it and then put the delicate velvet box into his jacket pocket before going back home to jade and to hide it

He managed to hide the ring for almost a month before he actually needed it

"We're going out for dinner tonight" beck announced one day while throwing himself onto the couch next to jade before throwing his arms around her shoulders

"Where? We better not be going to that bad place where they don't cut tails off the Shri-

"Relax we're going to Jessie's grillhouse. Jessie's grillhouse was one of the most high end places one could eat at so jade was a bit shocked he even managed to get reservations there

That night at 5:30 they both got ready separately. Jade grabbed a mid thigh length body con dress and a pair of dark purple heels for a bit of colour. Beck dressed in a nice black suit with a crisp white dress shirt and purple tie to complete the look

"You look gorgeous" beck stated smiling when jade walked back into heir bedroom

"Beck Youve seen this dress a thousand times" she replied modestly, rolling her eyes a bit "but you clean up nicely yourself

He walked over to her in the doorway and gave her a quick kiss before holding out his arm for her to take. Together they walked downstairs and to the car

When they got to the restaurant and were all checked in and at their table beck tried to make small talk to calm his nerves

"Soooo how was work today?"
"Beck I didn't have work today you know that"
