Chapter Twenty-Seven

Some people just never know when to quit you know, if this is google helping his ass to come up with these apology ways, then google please forbid him from using google don't you think.
I still do love him but l feel he's not ready to go that deep with me so wouldn't want to walk my way to hell of heartbreaks.

On my way to the car, he waited for me by the door and l kept a reasonable distance that can give me some space to think.

"Can l talk to you."

"What do you want Chris." I exhale

"I just want you to grant my last wish. You my genie remember."

Who knew even bad boys could be this hopeless.

"You asking for two things and you have one wish left so choose wisely." I retort.

"Not really. You are not fulfilling a wish l said long back and now it's time for the third one which is a joint wish to the second one." He plainly state

"Chris you want say sorry right. Then okay you forgiven can you now move from the car l am getting late for work." I say walking towards the car hoping by the time l reached he would be gone.

I used my hand to show him to leave but he stayed there and this time he maintained strong eye contact with me as if he was searching for some answers well better luck next time because this time l am hiding my feelings.

"Chris can you -"

He pulls me by the waist making me squeal and he crashes his lips on me ,as expected my body betrayed me by responding to the kiss without second doubt with the way l moved closer to his warmth and allowed him access just showed how my body and hormones where the enemy within me, the traitor to ever live in me.

I might as well cherish this moment and enjoy it. It made me realise Just how l miss him cause the way he held my waist, his lips moved in perfect sync with mine just showed how much l missed him.

If he thinks this will let me forgive him work harder

"Kira please just attend my games this week. Please." This time he pleaded with his forehead on mine and whatever spell he put on me when he kissed seems to work cause my heart clenched due to the desperation that laced in his voice.

"Okay."

He pecks me one more time before he slowly walked away letting me go slowly don't know if this was it or for now. Damn you body.

Fixing myself l got into my car and picked Kayla and left her in the nursery room where she played with the other nurses kids before l started my shift for the day.
Guess what occupies three quarters of my brain the whole time.

Arriving home with a very tired Kayla l wasn't ready for the investigation that awaited for me.

"That was one hell of a kiss you shared with Chris." Grayson comments

I opened my mouth to say something but it turns out I was temporarily dump cause no word made it way out.

"Damn you look hot in scrubs." El comments from the kitchen.

Kayla went straight to sleep,at least she had eaten her supper, I dropped on the sofa to feel the comfort it offers.

"So." El starts handing me my bowl of supper.

"What. Work is fine, school certainly going fine. Kayla could be better and me l am hella-"

El grabs the bowl away from me

"I didn't give you this to tell me about something l already know."

"I hadn't finished, wanted to say l am fucking experiencing a roller coaster of emotions. Can l have my food back now." I reach for my bowl which she gave willingly.

"It sure did take him this long to realize what he wanted." Grayson sighs

"It sure did." I mumble

"I have to confess." El states and we all look at her.

"He didn't wait this long, he wanted to tell you he wanted you but l kind of told him that he should think a little bit more just to be sure and not rush his decisions. He did call everyday to ask me how you were after talking to you."

"Oh." I say not even sure of what to do

"And then he asked for my help but l told him work for yourself. But can you like speed the process where you say yes and l get to go to the gallery opening cause it's this coming weekend. If you don't l lose then tickets." She begs

"Why didn't you just buy yourself. You rich." I shrug

"Hello. They were sold out. He so happened to have them."

"Hes not a gallery opening type of person l know him. He probably bribed someone with money to give him the tickets cause he knows what you want. And you fell for it so just you could betray me." I focus on the tv.

"As if you don't want." Grayson retorts.

"Well l am sorry. You should be saying thank you cause this guy is giving you imported flowers and all you do is throw them in the bin. Could have given someone for all l care." El explains

"I do what l want."

"The last you can do is say thank you el. For helping him speed the process of now wanting you back, you do miss the earth shattering big Os he delivers to you on a silver platter." She shrugs

"Oh my God El." I hit her hand and l swear l was all blushing and it made matters worse cause all l could think Now was how good he felt inside me.

"You just left her hot and bothered." Grayson starts to tease me

"Remember the night he tire you out completely." El continues

"Damn how many did he give you that night."

"Is He the rough type,passionate-"

"Tortuous, fast." El finishes for him and they were using their sex voices and it didn't help the hormones in me as they made me re create the night.

"You guys are the worst." I stand up getting away from them

After disposing my bowl in the sink l,went straight to my room before Grayson comments

"The hand always works you know."

"But not as twice as good as his c-"

I didn't even wait for her to finish l banged my door ,sorry monkey for the noise . Leaning on the door, I close my eyes let me recreate the wonderful night of pure bliss in my mind.......
