Epilogue

After graduating l was officially called a Doctor , another achievement for me. Kayla was now five and we currently chose to settle in New York due to the family decision we made for a team he wanted obviously with the help of his agent, Jose also settled for the same one Lucas and Dylan were chosen for different teams but that didn't break the bond we all had.

The house we finally managed to settle in after series of house shopping had a touch of comfort and how a home should feel like. With Chris weekends were our best days during NFL season and were days we could be a family with some chosen days during the week.

Missing him was a feeling l never got used to and obviously just like El and l had planned we rocked every outfit we went in to games we attended. He got better in physique , character , playing football and being a father.

Flashback.
On fathers day Kayla has asked me if she could write a card saying happy Father's Day daddy. This was something we didn't push on her cause l knew she was going to come around at the end of the day .
Chris opened the door coming from training and due to excitement Kayla ran with her hand made card to him like always he hugs and lifts her up.

"What do we have here." He takes  the card " Happy Father's Day (he pauses)."

"You don't like it." Kayla asks with disappointment laced in her voice.

"No princess l love it very much. I am very happy." He quickly tells her

"I can call you daddy?" She asks

"Any day." He attacks her with kisses all over the face whilst tickling her and his laugh ,her giggle and mine filled the atmosphere creating a lovely and happy one. When he finally lets her go, Kayla took that as her chance to disappear from him for a while. Walking to me he pulls me by the waist to hug me and kiss me.

"How you daddy." I tease me

"Never been better." He lifts me off the ground and l wrap my legs around his waist .

"Aren't you tired." I cock an eyebrow

"For you never in a million times." He states .

End of flashback.

Like any normal couple we have our fair share of fights but never went to sleep without resolving it, that made us stronger than we already were. At the moment l can safely say we were one of the NFL new young power couple and l wanted to let it stay like that.
When arrived home from grocery shopping , getting in the kitchen Kayla and Chris were preparing dinner.

"Hi mommy." Kayla shouts.

"Hi baby." I kiss her cheek placing the bags on the counter.

"I am helping daddy make dinner." She explains her voice dripping with excitement.

"Thanks baby."

Walking to Chris who pecks my lips and smiles

"Hey."

"Good evening to you my queen." He greets me and pulls one of the kitchen counter stools.

"To what do l owe this pleasure." I ask after settling down.

"Can't a man treat his queen here and there." He retorts.

"That's very thoughtful of you." I giggle.

"Jose and El are coming for dinner this weekend." Chris reminds me

"I miss those two it's been long."
