Happy Birthday, buttercup I said as she cuddled closer to me already asleep.

I lay awake for hours. I just watched Ashley sleep. I must have fallen asleep for a bit because when I woke up I smelled something delicious. I slowly got out of bed without waking Ashley and followed the smell. Low and behold I found mom in the kitchen making her famous waffles. Morning mom, I said as I kissed her cheek. Are you making breakfast?

Of course, baby what kind of mother would I be if I didn't make my baby boy breakfast?

Mom, I'm not a baby I laughed.

Ahh but Shawn you always be my baby. Youll understand one day when you have kids of your own.

We'll see about that if and when the time comes. I laugh

Mom dad and I were talking when Ashley came to the kitchen.

Good morning, not to sound fat but it smells really yummy in here she smiled.

This is the first time I've seen her smile like this and god damn she can light up a room.

since we were sitting at the island I got up and told Ashley that I would grab her a plate. I kissed her cheek as she sat down where I was sitting.

After we ate we said goodbye to my parents since they were going to go sightseeing before the show tonight.

Ashley and I got ready and headed to the arena for tonight's show.

Shotgun! Ashley yelled as we reached the car.

Uhh, buttercup you don't have to yell shotgun when it's just us I laughed as she blushed.

I opened the door for her as she smiled at me and went to the driver's seat. I started the car and Ashley turned the radio on. Once the music started playing her eyes lit up and she looked excited I turned it up a bit louder and watched in amazement as she sang. word for word never missing a beat.
