Chapter 30

Pabiro akong umirap dahil hindi ako makangiti kahit pa nakakatawa naman ang sinabi ni Patty. The makeup artist is currently putting lipstick on my lips.

Nang matapos sa make up ko, muling pinasadahan ng plansta ang buhok ko. I'll appear shortly on a drama show. Kailangan lang ng special participation from other artists para maabot ang rating quota.

After almost an hour of takes and cuts, natapos ang parte ko. Nag palit ako agad ng damit dahil may meeting pa ako sa Ayala with Ria and Patty.

I was about to get inside the van when Ria approached me.

"Urgent lang, Rhi, hindi talaga ako pwede. Patty will be with you and she'll take notes of the important informations." She looked apologetic.

"It's fine..." ngumiti ako at nagpaalam sa kanya.

Tahimik na nakaupo sa gilid ko si Patty. Glancing my way from time to time. Gusto ko sanang itanong kung may gusto ba siyang malaman pero hindi ko na lang ginawa dahil mas gusto kong matulog.

When I woke up, we were stuck in traffic. 1:26 PM and the roads are busy.

"Ate, mayron pa po kayong interview mamaya at ask ko lang po sana kung nakaayos na yung bagahe niyo para bukas?" Patty suddenly talked beside me.

"Nakaayos na yung baggage ko, Patty. About the interview later, I already read the questions." Bahagya akong ngumiti at agad na dinampot ang telepono ko para mawala sa isipan ang tungkol sa mga trabaho ngayong araw.

I opened my twitter app only to see articles about Glaiza. She's back from taking a four month rest. Hindi siya tumanggap ng kahit na anong trabaho sa loob ng apat na buwan.

I miss her...

I read a lot of articles. She has a lot of work waiting for her. Mamaya pa lang ang interview niya, kasunod noong sakin sa parehas na show.

Deja vu it is, huh? Being interviewed by the same interviewer on the same show. I smiled at the thought of her before it naturally faded just like everytime when I'm suddenly thinking of her.

I couldn't help but think about our past. Our relationship didn't end well. It didn't went well. Some things really go the other way from how we planned it to be.

Maingat na ipinark ang sasakyan bago patayin ang makina at pag buksan ako ng pinto. I was in Taguig earlier and now, I'll be attending a meeting here in Ayala. Mayroon akong script reading ngayon kasama ang buong cast para sa isang short film na ilalabas.

The script reading and short meeting took almost three hours to finish. I personally liked the whole concept of the film since it discusses the law. It was full of relevant issues and it reflects timely issues that we face today.

Balisa ako nang makabalik sa sasakyan. Ni hindi ako nakaidlip kahit pa bahagyang sumakit ang mata ko dahil sa script reading kanina.

There's a big chance that I'll be seeing Glaiza at the station. There's a big chance that we'll be using a dressing room next to each other. There's a big chance that we'll have an interaction later.

I carefully listened to my phone as I repeatedly dialed Anton's number. When my relationship with Glaiza ended, I got closer to Anton. We really treat each other as siblings. He always visits me in my unit too.

"Saan ka?" I asked when he finally picked it up.

Hindi ko pa naintindihan ang isinagot niya dahil pabulong yon.

"Ha?" Walang maintindihan kong sabi.

"I said, she's here!" Pabulong pa rin niyang sabi pero mas malinaw na kaysa sa kanina. "Oh, fuck, she's looking at me." Ramdam ko ang pagkataranta sa boses niya.
