My Brothers Best Friend

First Day

I was just visiting my brother when I first saw him. He was talking to himself when he laughed out loud! He seemed kind of crazy but then again I like crazy, that was when he saw me standing there staring at him on Bluetooth with my older brother Phil. You know like amazingphil Phil? Yup, he's my older brother and I came to England from California to visit. I was just telling him I'm at the doorstep when I saw that man. I don't know why he intrigued me so much but he just did.

"PHIL!" I screamed as I stepped into his flat, setting down my black suitcases.

"Jennifer! How are you?" He said giving me a hug and grabbing one of my suitcases, leading me inside.

"Awesome. I got sponsored by YouTube for my music videos so that is amazing." I said excitedly walking into the living room where the couches were.

"Aw, Jenni you are becoming just like me." He said pinching one of my cheeks. We talked for a few hours and it was around midnight when he told me he was gonna go to bed. He left and I decided to film a video.

"Hello fellow music lovers! Today I am at my older brother amazingphil's flat right now and I do not have my violin near me at the moment so you will just have to deal with me blabbering." I finished my video a few minutes later and decided to pack up my camera and go to bed when I heard someone enter the house. I grabbed a metal lamp that was plugged in next to me and approached the door slowly so I wouldn't be heard. I got out to where the door was and there he was, the man I saw earlier today staring back at me.

"What are you doing in my flat?" He asked me accusingly.

"What am I doing in your flat? What are you doing in my brothers flat?" I asked him in the same tone he asked me in.

"Wait your brother is-" he was interrupted by a very tired-looking Phil as he shuffled into the room.

"Oh ya, Jenni this is Dan. Dan this is my sister, Jenni." he said scratching the back of his head.

"Go to bed Phil we'll be fine." I said turning him around gently and lightly pushing him to his room.

"Alright. Night Jenni. Night Dan." He said shuffling into his room.

"Hi Dan. Sorry I tried to hit you with a lamp." I said after Phil disappeared into his room. I could ever so faintly remember him but not really.

"It's fine." He said rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"I was just gonna go back to write some more if you would like to come back and hang out for a while." I told Dan pointing with my thumb back to where my camera laptop and note book with drawings and poems in it.

"I think I'm gonna go to bed." He said quietly but he didn't move.

Dan POV

So I walk into my flat only to find a beautiful girl holding up my metal lamp to hit me, then I find out she is Phil's sister! No wonder she looks so familiar. There is something else there that I just can't put my finger on though.

"I was just gonna go back to write some more if you would like to come back and hang out for a while." She told me pointing to where the couches were. Alright Dan don't screw this up. Just go hang out with the girl.

"I think I'm gonna go to bed." I said to her immediately regretting it. Why did I say that! I was internally scolding myself when I saw her giving me a odd look though she still looked amazing.

"What is it?" I asked somewhat defensively.

"You were talking to yourself." she said with a giggle.

"Oh well I'm just gonna go now." I said grabbing my phone from where I set it on the counter. She immediately frowned.

"Alright." she said very quietly turning around abruptly and leaving.
