Alex was instructed by Kingsley to stay with molly and to not go out

That she would be safest there.

But word had got out that Harry had gone back to Hogwarts to destroy the last hocruxes, Voldemort was after him.

So Alex received that letter shes been waiting for. That letter that could possibly end her life.

The letter that gave her okay to fight.

The letter telling her she had to get to Hogwarts before Voldemort and his death eaters did.

So she left, wearing jeans and a zipper up sweater with a white tank top underneath.

She left molly sleeping, not wanting to worry her, she left the comfort of the Weasley house to step into the cold cruel world.

She guessed her best bet was to use the floo network, she'd get there quick and didn't have to sneak in.

Making sure she had everything she needed, which mostly was just her wand and her lucky necklace, she stepped into the small fire place and stated her destination, " Dumbledores Office"

Within seconds she was back in the castle, it was quite and almost peaceful

Like if you didn't know a war was about to start, you'd maybe think it was calming.

But Alex knew better, so she cautiously stepped out of the small office into the big hallway, which was Also strangely empty

She quickly made her way to the Gryffindor common room, assuming she'd find someone she knew there

And when she walked in all she saw was a girl who looked to be in her first year crying in the corner, Alex sighed and quickly made her way over to her

"What are you doing?" She asked in her most calming voice, trying to get the girl to stop her tears

"I-I e-everyone left" she stuttered out as she let out another sob

"Do you know who I am? I'm Alex potter"

The girl quickly stopped crying and looked at the girl, "y-you're supposed to be dead"

Alex smiled sweetly, "yes I suppose I am, but I'm not. So I'm going to protect you okay? You have to hide. Go into the prefect room, behind the painting on the wall is a space big enough for you to stay in. I'll come get you when it's all over"

At this point, she was glad her and Draco had the idea of making it so he could hide when we someone came into Alex's room. And she was praying they didn't seal it up.

The girl reached down and picked up the younger girl, she was so tiny it was easy for Alex to do so.

"I'm scared" she said once Alex had lifted her into the hole

Alex thought for a moment, she thought of what she'd want someone to do if she was scared

So Alex took of her necklace shes had since she was a child

"This necklace, was left to me by my mother. Every time I wear it, I'm protected. So I'm giving it to you. And whenever you're scared, you just place a little tiny kiss on it to know that you're safe okay?"

The girl smiled and took the necklace and held it tightly in her hands

"What will protect you?"

Alex wondered the same thing, but she supposed she no longer needed protection, she wasn't scared of death, she had nothing to lose. So she was fine
