HIDE & SEEK

The sun rose once again in the east, welcoming the applicants on their last day on the island. The weather's humid and the worst it's been over the past week. The past two days have been quick and restful. Though your mind was fogged. You've had time to think it all through; you've fallen for a jester and saved a little boy. Summing up the words helped settle your mind but it didn't settle you. You've broken your own word of honor. It only brings your guard down rather than benefitting you.

All you ever strived for was to continue being daddy's toy but he's not around anymore. Who's this for? Meeting more human have grinded your gears. Come to think of it, you've been curious on how Killua was doing. Out of all the boys he seems the most intimidating. He has something to prove but you're not quite sure what it could be. He hasn't shown off his skills around you yet, or at least you haven't been around enough to see it. Maybe you should roam around in hopes to find that white-haired boy.

Wandering off towards the southeastern area of the island, your mind travels back to two days ago. That steamy morning was certainly something to remember. Hisoka's goal was for you to replay that memory, refusing to believe it regardless. He's unbelievable.

Playing hard-to-get was a bold move at this very moment yet you continue to let it happen. If it brings more instances like this, why not pull back for more later? You forcefully push your leg back on the ground letting him know to release his grip from under your knee. His hand remained on your back refusing to give you personal space.

"If there's more to you, I'll just have to leave then."

"~So soon? I was just getting started, Amorou...~♠"

The pet name rolled off his tongue so elegantly. It's clear he's trying to draw you back in, but it's no use. When you make up your mind about something, it's impossible to alter your decisions. Your hands roam from his triceps to his shoulders. Your lips sculpt a smile.

"Maybe some other time..." You murmur.

Before he can respond, you appear next to your pile of clothes. Your plan was to leave him speechless at your quick movements. Kids at school were always impressed by you at winning races at top speed. You're quick on your feet and reflexes. Leaving a shocked expression on people's faces was exciting. You soon became fully clothed and you gave Hisoka one last look before making your way up the waterfall. He was glaring at you leaving with a smirk.

A misty area of the forest was in the distance and you find yourself walking into it. Thin beams of the sun seeped through the leaves and fading into the mist. The air felt light and the ground felt soft. Your heels dug into the mud. It's been quiet and uneventful the past few days. You expect some action soon hoping that the end of the fourth phase won't be a complete disappointment. You lean your weight on your toes, preventing the heels from sinking into the ground. A sudden gust of wind brushed the hair off your face, opening a clear view of the path ahead. There was a familiar figure sitting against a boulder. Oh what luck I have...

"Hey." You utter.

"Oh, hey [Y/N]." Killua responds.

His voice remained stable, like he's not afraid of the panther approaching him. He's a fearless kid unlike his friend, Gon. Perhaps he is petrified at some points in his life but he still masks it with a straight face. He resembles a younger version of you, you analyze. There's a day where you realize it's all the same and he had that expression written all over his eyes. His head rested on his right hand and his other was playing with a stick on the coarse dirt.
