MANIACS

Illumi brought two books on the table along with the tea cups. Your finger runs across a familiar title. It was called, 'The Wrapless Might.' It's been years since you've laid your hands on a copy of your favorite book. Your father always scolded you for reading the same paragraphs over and over again. But you couldn't help to read the author's detailed descriptions of a little boy who underwent circumstances similar to yours. It was the perfect book for you to base your powers off of. Just like Hisoka's meaningful 'Bungee Gum', your special abilities are named after some of the titles of the chapters.

You finally drop your attention from the shelves and walk towards him with crossed arms. You're excited to see what he'll come up with to satisfy his friend's 'final wishes', from which will probably end with no worries anyway. He must know this as well but regardless, he steals your attention to make him happy. How confusing they are...

The seat he pulled out was waiting for you. You settle into the table with a smile still on your face. This sudden warm memory was perfect timing for the current sorrowful situation. I can't help but think about him all the time.

"One or two?" He held two sugar cubes between his fingers.

"Two." You politely respond.

He drops the sugar cubes and stirs it with a small spoon, "Tell me, what do you see in him?"

Do all of Hisoka's friend have an ability to read minds? But this question wobbled your mind. The mere point of this trip was to bond for the sake of our beloved magician psycho. You revise your final answer.

"Everything you don't."

"I guess I wouldn't know how he can be with someone he's crazy about." He pours sugar cubes into his tea and stirs it with the same spoon. His eyes gave absolutely no hints on what he could be thinking.

"You keep mentioning how 'he's crazy about me.' What do you mean by that?" You sip on your tea as you cross your legs under the table. The couple behind the counter were staring at your direction with smiles cracking the corners of their lips. Oh no...

"If you haven't noticed, he's completely bonkers. Though I wouldn't say you're not the same. But I think that's exactly why he's all over you now." He replies and blows on his steaming tea. 'Now?'

"We all are. Thanks for reiterating." You digest the confirmed knowledge of Hisoka's feelings for you. Sure, he probably wants to break you on the battle field until you can't see straight but all these interactions must mean something. It's not just the sex anymore, there's more to it. The first interest in your life might be in severe pain at this moment, or completely hiding the fact that he might not walk this globe after just two days. But perhaps it's healthier to just accept it.

He adds on the first time they met. It's been about less than two years since their paths crossed at Republic of Padokea. Illumi himself is fixated on the ideology similar to that of his father, Silva Zoldyck, who's a famously known assassin. Although the whole family is in on the business. It's no secret as to why Hisoka would be involved with such a family line. He explains how he was on a training mission with his father before Hisoka got in their way. He posed up a 'rather vexing fight' but Illumi was able to differentiate Hisoka's bloodlust from his drive to be obnoxious. In the end, they ended up crossing paths once again, and more to come until the idea came to his head; he'd be of great use.

Eventually, Hisoka requested to accompany him on an assassin mission at which the family couldn't resist. If the trusted eldest son of the Zoldyck family recommends someone, he's bound to bring a good fighter. It was clear they also took an interest in this tricky manipulation but they seem to be unbothered by this. In the end, it's all about making it out alive by practically recycling their powers. The couple kindly took the empty cup from his hands.
