MILE HIGH

In a new room, you take a seat a few rows in front of Hanzo, who was alone on the right side when walking in. The committee handed out the Hunter licenses and documents accompanying. The boys argued on how unfair Killua's disqualification was but it's no use. Netero made it clear there wouldn't be any exceptions, though you beg to differ. They're right, he was manipulated into killing Bodoro by Illumi. His eyes widened into black holes of illusions that refused to break contact with the cat-eyed boy.

You held back on fighting with them to prevent the topic of nen coming up. It's something better to keep out of the minds of the rookies, for now. Bad timing causes for bad things. The committee continued to argue there's no evidence and it must be what it is. There was a small but effective encounter with Gon and Illumi who wanted to ask for forgiveness on Illumi's end. In the process, Gon broke Illumi's forearm while speaking to him. He's got some strength breaking his arm only by the touch. Though Illumi stayed just as emotionless. Up until the ending of the meeting, Gon dragged him outside to know where Killua went. Illumi explained about how Killua willingly walked out to his home in Kukuroo Mountain. He manipulated Killua to his own home.

You follow with the guys out to the hall. They all shared the same devotion to help get their friend back. From just a few days on the exam, they managed to create a friendship so serious that they are determined to go save the kid. It's incredible how intimate a relationship can be between those four. They truly care about each other even if they don't have the family advantage. Though you didn't quite understand why Illumi was doing this, or maybe why you were even feeling this way in the first place. But clearly, your heart has softened. You approach Illumi.

"What do you plan on gaining from sending him home?" You angrily ask, eyes locking with his.

"I want to watch his every move. Eitherway, he belongs to the Zoldyck family and not the outsiders." Illumi responds with his emotionless physique. He tilts his head at Hisoka who was making his way to the meet with the trio. "Oh and I almost forgot to mention. We have a job coming up in a few days. If I were you I'd take this time now to forget this all happened."

"I voluntarily joined your association for my benefit as I imagine you both are in for the same reason as well. I expect to get some respect with who I decide to speak to. But by the looks of it, you shouldn't have much say on friendships..." You spit out at the black-haired man. Hisoka chuckled at my comment. He knows it's true. The amount of times they say they're not friendly with each other doesn't compare to how they actually feel. They barely know what true friendship is but neither can you completely understand. It's crystal clear Illumi despises the idea of friendships and is in it for his personal investment.

He told Gon where Kukuroo Mountain was located. The rest of the boys decided to set their minds on looking for Killua. Feeling a hint of guilt you continue to send your good luck to the group. As much as you felt pity for the boy, you'd rather choose the job run by people who share the same interest in bloodshed. Illumi stared in Gon's direction.

"Gon is my prey and do not forget that.~" Hisoka demands. Since the fourth phase, he's been eyeing the boy and with good reason. Gon has breathtaking potential to one day become a strong hunter just like his father. Then again, you have the same goal but altered in a twisted way to some. It's just perfect for you. You smile at the bloodcurdling men in your circle. Or perhaps, co-workers?

You turn towards the direction of the boys to include one last comment, leaving behind the two with a statement. "You'll regret threatening what brought me hope in the world."
