My really bad art book XD [OLD]

Inanimate insanity-in our bedroom after the war

Ok so this one is really different to stuff I normally do

As you know, normally when I do song comic thingys, it's one (or more) character(s) speaking/singing, normally to each other

But this is different to that because no one is actually singing any of it

It's basically the series as it is right now and the characters how they are right now with this song in the background

There is this really good cover of it on Soundcloud (by this person called Manny Goossen it's really good)

And yeah it's the same song,
But the cover of it (that I prefer to the original) is slightly different because it misses out a verse and one of the choruses (and yeah it's a good verse so it's a shame, but like I said I really prefer the cover to the original, so I did this based around the cover more than the original)

Also the cover is only on soundcloud, not YouTube, hence the lack of a YouTube link, but obviously I will link to the cover in a sec, I just wanna talk a bit more about it before I show it off cause

I'm gonna confess, this is one of my favourite songs, so I really wanted to do it justice
So remember ages ago when I said that I'm probably not gonna so much colouring because I find that just so boring and I actually hate doing it, but will still occasionally do it if I think the tone of what I'm drawing suits it(and when drawing concept art like when I was showing off the characters from tcg again)

I completely disregarded that rule because I didn't want to have just 1 or 2 parts fully coloured and shit, and then the rest look dull and odd

Plus let's face it, the entire tone of it definitely does suit the colours

I mean I even did backgrounds (another thing I hate doing)
They're not very good backgrounds, normally it's just the blue from the sky, green from grass, orange from inside the hotel, and stuff like that

But I still did it

And yeah, I still hate doing colouring

And I'm probably not gonna do it again to this extent (except for college projects, and one other thing that I will do hopefully soon, you'll see)

But despite how much I didn't enjoy the colouring
I'm lowkey proud of it

It's not the best but the colours do give it a little something extra I think

Plus with this I was able to prove to myself that I can still colour a full project without getting angry and frustrated that it's taking so long and giving up half way through (which I did consider doing because I have no patience but I was nearly done, so I didn't) so I'm proud of that

So yeah, after episode 14, I was doing defying gravity, and while doing that at one point I think I got kinda sick of listening to that nonstop on a loop (I still love that song, but often I overplay songs and then get tired of them for a little bit, especially when I'm drawing them), so I decided to listen to other music on my phone
And I started listening to this song again (for the first time in a while), and it's such a bittersweet song I love it, it sounds so sad and yet so hopeful at the same time, I was just listening to it and thinking about how much it goes with the current tone of what's currently happening in the show

Cause the eliminated contestants and (most of) the past players are actually doing so much better without the show and I like to think that even though they all (except OJ) missed out on the million, they're now much happier, so in that sense it's quite hopeful
